Big news for Cairo Rising project, we have found a great organization in Cairo, (the CJC booking agency and jazz club) to partner with the project. We are discussing partnering on recording studios, artists and all aspect of the project. This is a big step towards the success of the Cairo Rising Project.

We have raised nearly $1,350 towards our goal of $7,500. We have a long way to go in a short period of time. Please consider giving any amount to the Project ($10-1,000) Any amount is helpful.
If each one of my 1500 friends on Facebook gave a small $5.00 contribution we would easily make our goal.

Hello everyone,
Thank you again to those who have supported Cairo Rising with financial contributions and helping get the word out!
We still have a long way to go, but I am undetered and will continue to work on this project until it comes to fruition. I think it is a very important piece.
I am now setting up interviews with radio stations (Pacifica/NPR) and press to discuss the project and the artistic involvement in the Arabic democratic uprising. If any of you have contact in the media please let me know and possibly make an introduction.
We are also planning on fundraiser events in the Bay Area in the next week or two. I will keep you posted about that as well.

I wanted to send out a quick thank you to everyone who initially pledged their support to the Cairo Recording Project. We raised almost $500 in 24 hours. A great start and I hope we can keep it going. These early contributions are very encouraging and give the project momentum.
We will be in touch regularly to keep you informed of the projects development.
