Posted project update #13The Signal is now available to download
Post CommentHey everyone. The Signal is now available for download via Bandcamp. I'd like to thank again everyone who signed up to be a backer for this project. We may not have reached our goal, but your contribution and generosity means a lot to me.
If you signed up to sponsor/donate to/pre-order the album and you have not received a download code email me at chris at jazzsequence dot com and I will send it over. Otherwise, you can buy the album for 5 bucks here: The Signal.
You can also read the post I wrote on Percussa's blog about the project.

Posted project update #12All according to plan...
Post CommentAfter taking a break from the mad rush to get 35+ minutes of material for the RPM Challenge (time enough to work on a Beyonce remix), I've been revisiting the tracks for The Signal and getting the album ready for an official release. I pushed the release date back on BandCamp to give enough time to make sure that all the t's are crossed and i's dotted, but we're on track to release the album in the second half of April. At the same time, I will be releasing stems for the tracks as well as some of the Ableton Live instruments I created and all of the samples I used (and didn't use).
If you didn't contribute through the PayPal donation link or pre-order through BandCamp, head over there now to get the goods. You'll receive a download link for all the songs in whatever format you like as soon as it's released (at which time I will replace the demos on SoundCloud with the final masters and remove the download links). While you're over there, you can download the score I wrote for a video I made for my WordPress theme shop.
Thanks again for your support!

Posted project update #9The show must go on
Post CommentThanks everyone for supporting this project. Even though we didn't get to our funding goal, the project is still going to happen. Here's how you can help keep The Signal going:
Click here to donate to the project now. I will be honoring the same backer rewards as the Kickstarter project but everyone who donates will get a copy of WASPREMIX as well (otherwise available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Zune & Bandcamp).
Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to get video updates about the progress of the album. The plan is still to get at least one Audiocube, so presumably you will be able to see creative uses of the cube when used solo.
Thanks again, and for all you musicians -- I'll see you in February for RPM 2012.

Posted project update #8The Signal on the UVB-76 livestream blog
Post CommentA bit belated, but I went to the UVB-76 livestream blog to do some research, and what did I find? Me! (Well, this project, anyway...) The post is from November, not long after the project was started and I was a little bit surprised that I hadn't stumbled on it until now. Nevertheless, here it is:
jazzsequence - The Signal, a Pledge
Remember, you have until Sunday night to get your friends and family to pledge to help make this project successful. I'm still holding out hope I'll get some angel investor to pledge $1k+ so we can maybe do a vinyl pressing :)
