Posted project update #34READY TO SHOOT THIS FRIDAY- We need 20k to close budget gap
Post CommentFriends,
Thanks for your incredible support of the film CAMP!
EVERYTHING IS IN PLACE TO SHOOT CAMP THIS WEEK - Talented cast, awesome location called Hume Lake (http://www.humelake.org/) and a great crew. We have a narrow time window to shoot the film - when the weather is warm enough but before actual summer camps start. We have to shoot NOW because of this window.
Thanks to you and a small group of investors we have been able to put together a good deal of the finances needed. In addition our great production team has been working hard to find the best deals on equipment, supplies and talent.
Due to some unexpected expenses we need to pull together another 20k by this weekend to help us close the gap. Both the producer Emily Shubin and I have deferred our pay to help close our budget gap. We want to see this film made because we believe this film will help abused and neglected kids get the love they need.HELP US CLOSE OUR BUDGET GAP of 20k - ANY AMOUNT HELPS! Use the link below.

Posted project update #33CAMP Project Update
Post CommentHello CAMP Supporters,
The CAMP Production team has been hard at work in making this film a reality - and we would like to keep you posted on some news.
PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY POSTPONED
Our originally scheduled shoot date for Fall 2011 has been pushed back to May 2012. Weather (an important consideration when making a movie about summer camp) wasn't cooperating with us, and we wanted to make sure we had enough time to get all the other details in place for a film production. While we're a bit sad we aren't shooting right now, we know that this extra time will allow us to make this an even higher quality production.
STILL WANT TO BE A BACKER?
A few folks have contacted us about becoming a film backer, even after our crowd-sourcing campaign has concluded. We are working on way to allow folks to become backers through our website at www.thecampmovie.com. Keep an eye on the site - we hope to have something set up in the next two weeks.
CASTING NEWS
The Production team is casting the actors and actresses for CAMP. As soon as we have contracts solidified, you will be the first to know. Well, after the actors are told of course. ;)
LET'S K.I.T. (CAMP Lingo for "Keep In Touch")
We will continue to update you on the progress of our film through periodic updates here, as well as our main website - www.thecampmovie.com. You can also "friend" us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/campmovie and on Twitter at www.twitter.com/campmovie.

Posted project update #3230 hours left on our CAMP pledge campaign - LAST CHANCE TO MOVE PLEDGE
Post CommentFriends,
IF YOU HAVE NOT MOVED YOU PLEDGE OVER TO INDIEGOGO, PLEASE DO SO NOW. http://www.indiegogo.com/camp/ If you don't move it over, we won't get your help.
We have been SO amazed at the amount of people who have come along side us to tell the story of these kids and the amazing ordinary people who make a difference in their lives. We are hugely inspired by YOU and your willingness to be a part of this journey.
Myself, Emily, Jim and the rest of the team have been hard at work getting ready to shoot the movie. (Currently we are casting in LA and New Mexico with the help of veteran casting directors Pemrick/Fronk) In addition to your pledges we have several investors who have come along side of the project so we will be shooting at the latest next spring. (Sooner if we can find a winter friendly location.)
WE HAVE 30 HOURS LEFT FOR ONE LAST PUSH THEN OUR CAMPAIGN WILL BE DONE.Our goal. 300 funders on IndieGoGo.com/camp by tomorrow midnight.
Please help us reach this LAST GOAL to end the campaign strong.
1. Move your pledge if you haven't already to IndieGoGo.com/camp2. Spread the word to your people... this is the LAST PUSH...
Thanks again for your generous support of this project.
It takes loving adults to give hope to abused and neglected kids. Let's inspire them to get involved with this film.
We will see you at the movies!Jacob Roebuck

Posted project update #30IMPORTANT REMINDER - We need you to move your pledge over today
Post CommentCAMP friends,
We need you to move your pledge for CAMP to our new platform IndieGoGo (http://www.indiegogo.com/camp/ ) Please read on to understand the change.
We have been THRILLED with the response to the CAMP movie funding campaign. Thousands of people have liked the film on FACEBOOK and nearly 500 people have become backers. In the past week we have made MANY new friends who have recently heard about the project and are excited to help us spread the word about this film and the important story it tells.
BECAUSE OF THE TREMENDOUS MOMENTUM CAMP HAS GENERATED, WE ARE GOING TO EXTEND THE CAMPAIGN UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER. This will allow us to continue to build the support needed to make this film a reality. Due to limitations with the Kickstarter platform, we will be moving the campaign to IndieGoGo (http://www.indiegogo.com/camp/ ).
THIS MEANS PLEDGES MADE AT KICKSTARTER WILL BE CANCELLED, AND BACKERS WILL HAVE TO RE-PLEDGE AT INDIEGOGO at http://www.indiegogo.com/camp/ The Kickstarter page will no longer accept pledges as of 4 pm PDT September 1.
To say thank you for moving your pledge from Kickstarter to IndieGoGo, we are going to add an awesome CAMP film CREW t-shirt to each backer that re-pledges by September 9.
PLEASE RE-PLEDGE NOW AT http://www.indiegogo.com/camp/ to support CAMP and to give a voice to thousands of abused and neglected children. NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED TWICE.
However, if you do not re-pledge, CAMP will lose your support and we will not be able to continue to send updates.
If you have any questions or problems concerning the transition please contact Jim Farmer at jim@roebuckmedia.com or 714-928-5350. As always, feel free to email me directly as well at jacob@roebuckmedia.com or call 714-914-0773.
Thanks for your continued support of this project. I can’t wait for you to see the film!FOR THE KIDS,

Congrats on the beautiful baby. I hope you get enough last minute backers to support this film. I will be sorely disapointed if this never works out.
