Hmm. I don't see why you couldn't, however, _do_ something for Haiti, if you want to direct some share of the proceeds to Haiti. After all, the projects _are_ allowed to be edited (http://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq#CanProjBeEditAfteLaun). Just a thought, I just funded Jordan Bower for his walk to Mexico (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/904479314/walking-to-mexico-an-experiment-in-cross-cultural/). Now, my personal experience of Haiti is limited to one trip there but my understanding is that people like Jordan would be very beneficial for bridging the understanding gap between Haiti and the rest of the world; just like your book is -- just like various expressions of art are often so powerful in actually _creating_ something, and even more so, something _sustainable_. Just a half-baked thought.

Would you happen to be publishing your works with any Creative Commons license? I'd love to support the project if you did. Should you have considered CC-by-sa then you could even contribute directly (or indirectly) to WikiTravel, my favorite travel guide of the 21st century. Collaborating with WikiTravel could also make some things easier for you, depending on what you want, what you 'must have' and what you're open to, of course. You could even create the guidebooks directly into the WikiTravel wiki and make it possible for the process to become a community effort. Just my thoughts.
