"eliezer Sobel Maybe it's just me, but I don't care even a tiny bit about tee shirts or stickers or whatever, why not skip all that and put the money into the project?" It's because you don't promise one thing then go back on what you promise After you have already received the donations.

I am a backer, this has been poorly run with promises made in the beginning then we were contacted with asking Us to let them reneg on promises of donation promos. I wanted the Disc for collectibility and stickers to help advertise this. You don't promise one thing and then midrace, change directions when people donated on promises given. Still waiting on disc, Stickers and somewhere online for tutorial for the Windows users & non geeks. Unless EVERYONE can participate, this will falter.

Make it a Granny Smith apple :) Good luck and like I mentioned earlier, for better reception, find someone to help you reach the Non-Tech Heads with this project. Many of Us need a little nudge with common sense explanation of how it works. OH and being a member of the Hard of Hearing community, please add Captions or a transcript of video so I and others can understand what was said in video description. Thanks Guys!

I backed it, Good hopes for this project! Will the software set up my PC to be a server? Will I need to be connected 24/7? You need a guide for the NOOBS. similar to this one-http://www.storyofstuff.com/. Diaspora needs to break it down so EVERYONE can understand whats involved and how it works.
