    Kickstarter minis shipping soon!

    Hi everyone,

We have a short update for you today, with some good news; all kickstarter mini pledges will be shipping out by mid-may. We have the first wave of 7 minis cast, and have another 9 at the caster currently. As soon as the caster can get the production molds made, we will be sending each and every one of you a package of goodies.

We ran about 70 demo games of Wreck Age at Adepticon this past weekend, and we and been spending countless hours preparing for that. The con was a great success, as we really got our name out and got a lot of great feedback and suggestions from people playing. If you were one of those folks who sat down and took some time out of your day to get a game in, thank you!

Our 300+ page hardcover rulebook will be out in December of 2012. Everyone who pledged for one will be getting it as soon as we have copies. We will have quick-start rules posted on our site in a week or so, and we will also be posting reference sheets and the scenario that we ran for our demo games at Adepticon.

In December, we'll be officially launching the line with the rulebook and 4 box sets; Reclaimers, Stitchmen, Drifters, and Stakers... and we have another 4 factions waiting in the wings. We have a model for the Autonomous Region of Hong Kong (the ARHK) in the bag, and are just getting some 3D work done with the gun, and we have concept art for another 3 factions already started.

Thanks for all of your support, and for helping make our dream a reality!

There will be a LOT more to come from us.

I appreciate you not wanting us to worry about it, but we take our responsibilities to get everyone a good quality product very seriously. This is our heart and soul here, and we are very serious about making this the best game and line of minis that we can! We definitely enjoy the project, as this is a labor of love, but we're looking to maintain a standard of professionalism and quality that will inevitably lead to stress on our end. We just hope that the end result will be worth it for you.

Stitchmen greens on their way to us!

We've been told that 4 stitchmen models (which includes the 2 limited stretch bonus kickstarter minis) will be shipping today.

The most likely course of action is to have everyone who JUST pledged the 4 minis get theirs as soon as they are finished.

This will result in the people who pledged for a dozen minis to have to wait for the remaining 4 Reclaimer models, as we still have those minis in sculpting limbo.

We obviously don't want to offend people that pledged for 12 minis, but at the same time, don't want to make people wait if we have everything in hand for what they've pledged for.

Here's our (optimistic) timeline for $25 pledges

:2-3 weeks for shipping from France

    2 weeks for casting masters

    1 week for approval process/shipping

    1 week for casting.

So all in all somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks out.

That's about the most accurate time-line we can give right now... just wanted to keep everyone informed.

We have one other sculptor who we're working with to get the Reclaimers where we need it to be, and we are hoping to have his sculpts in the mail to us very soon.

How soon will depend on the various rounds of revisions. We hope by the end of the month, and will update once we have something solid.

From our personal experience, rushing out a product, especially in the gaming world, leaves everyone unhappy. There have been few disappointments greater in our gaming days than when we received something and it felt unfinished. It tarnishes the whole experience.

Now are we being overly picky with our sculpts? Probably, a little. Have we made a few mistakes that have slown down the process? Absolutely, but we have learned from them.

We really, really hope that these delays don't make anyone think that we aren't taking their Kickstarter pledge seriously. It is actually the opposite of that, because nothing would be a slap in the face like us sending you a half baked product for your hard earned money and faith in our project.

So that's a brief update of where we're at currently. Thanks for your patience, and we can't wait to see these painted up!

I say... take your time and dont stress out about it. I think all of us as backers are eager but we want you to enjoy the little things that go along with the process ya know :)
If you would like.. I am more than happy to wait for everyone else to get theirs first.
If you need anything let me know

More greens (or in this case, grays)

We just wanted to post a quick update to show the first set of greens being shipped from France to us this week. As soon as we receive them, they'll be going straight to the caster for the first stage of the process- masters.

From there, we will need to wait for our other 2 sculptors to finish their remaining greens. We're hoping that they will have them done any day now, but they have a lot of projects on their plate.

Once we have those in our hands and masters of all of them cast and inspected, we'll be moving to the production phase, where all the models will be cast and then sent out to you. That part of the process will take about 2-3 weeks, but we obviously have to have all of the sculpts in our hands before we start it.

Please note the Drifter conversion, which is going to be our limited edition Adepticon 2010 mini.

We hope to see painted models soon after sending them out to you, and are looking for a launch of the line in mid-March of 2012.

All backers will have any minis they pledged for well before they are released to the general public.

    Thanks for your support!

    Small update

I was told by one of our sculptors that if we get our greens 2 months late, that would be considered "early". I laughed with him about it at the time, but now, I'm realizing that he wasn't joking!

We have 3 models at the caster currently, and we should have 14 greens shipping to us from France within the next 2-3 weeks. There are lots of WiP shots, but we'd really prefer to show you finished stuff whenever possible... Unfortunately, right now, that's not the case.

Here's a WiP shot from one of the Stitchmen Hunters, who have been elusive and prefer to keep to the shadows... how fitting!

    More to come soon!

    Stretch goal reached!

    Thank you all so much....

I'd love to set a new "stretch goal", but I'm a horrible marketer, and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth to keep tacking on rewards and asking for more money.

That said, we could always use more money!

    ;)

All of it will be used to fund more art, more minis, and help the game progress more rapidly. Heck, if we reach $15k, Matt and I can take the next month off from our regular jobs and do nothing but work on the game!

So there's a "stretch goal" for you!!!

We've only got about 2 and a half days left... So please spread the word. Anything coming in the door from here on in will just help us achieve things that we hadn't thought we'd have the funds to do. Again, your support is greatly appreciated. We're looking forward to having people paint up the minis they'll be getting, and we've got a lot in the works!

Only 1 week to go. Thanks for making our Kickstarter a success!

We're down to the wire, with just one week left. We appreciate al the support that we've received! The pledges keep rolling in, and we're just $1000 away from our stretch goal of 10k.

Thanks to everyone who has posted up Wreck Age info on Beasts of War, BruekenkophChest of Colors, Dakka Dakka, Frothers, A Gentleman's ones, Lead AdventureTabletop Fix, and all the other news sites and blogs. We've gotten a ton of hits, and we really appreciate all the exposure that people are giving us.

Two boar minis have gone to the caster today, and if we break 10k, we'll be sending 2 more along with the initial wave sometime towards the end o January. We'll be running intro games at Adepticon this year, so if you're going, please stop by and say hi, and play a couple of games... If you ask nicely, Matt might take you through an RPG adventure. He likes to be tipped in whisky.
