    Working Hard!

Hello to my favorite group of people out there. I wanted to check in with everyone to let you know I haven't forgot about you. The August Tour was a huge success, and I have you to thank for it. In fact, you guys gave so much love my way, that I am able to fund my upcoming tour in November with what was leftover. Thank you deeply for helping my dreams reach the surface!

In other news, I am finished with the recording of the new record, and am getting close to setting a release date. The last couple of months I have been negotiating with a label out of New York on a liscensing/distribution deal for the record, but we have yet to reach an agreement. It's tough when divvying money is the only thing that connects you with someone, but if an agreement is reached it could benefit me. If not, then they really didn't want to help to begin with, and I'll be happy going about my business. This has delayed things a bit with the release, so I appreciate your patience. Rest assured though, this baby is about to hatch, and you guys will be the first to hear it, have it, and hopefully love it!!!

I'm also in the process of recording the Kickstarter CD for the $100 and up givers wt my good friend Christopher Alan Yates. It will have a few originals that have never been heard before, as well as a couple of my favorite covers that I've never recorded. It will only be given to you for your kindness, and not sold anywhere.

Also, the new garethasher.com website is launching soon, and will have all your names on the main page so everyone can see who I love the most!

I'm working hard to get things done before I leave for the upcoming tour, and I will be writing you again soon with info on how you all can receive your gifts from me.

Until then, know that you are the reason I get to do what I do, and I am forever grateful. Check out the list of tour dates @ garethasher.com to see if I'm coming close to you on this run. I would love a hug :)

    Sincerely,

    Gareth Asher

I'm digging "We Live, We Love"---your songs are so full of life & love that one could only hope to find love in their life of the depth & strength that you sing about. Afterall, isn't it that we truely Live when we have Love in our hearts...?

Can't wait to hear the new album & hoping that you'll come back to visit the Auburn, Alabama area soon!

I love #3 - for lack of better words. #4 is good to but reminds me of peter gabriel's song of digging in the dirt. and the other don't stand out as much as number 3 - plus I think it embodies what music and song are when words aren't enough. love it! good luck deciding! it's a fun process!

A touching Email from a fan who donated.......

I wanted to share this message I received from Mia Zimmerman, a fan out of the VA/MD area. She has kindly contributed to the 'Kickstarter Project', and warmed my heart with her words in this note. Get well soon Mia!

    Hi Gareth,

I had e-mailed you previously and mentioned that we saw you performing at RIR in Virginia... You were wonderful!!! Your voice is soulful and it makes people want to listen so I wish you the best of luck on your tour. This is probably going to sound crazy to you but I remember when Alicia Keys debuted on one of the morning shows and while she was sitting at the piano right after she sang I told my kids "that girl is going to make it". I feel the same way about you; You feel the music, it's in you and obvious that this is what you are meant to do. It is inspiring that you are following your dream. You must have a fantastic support system of friends and family so you should consider yourself more then half way there of any goals you may have for yourself.

I would love to see you perform in Easton, MD but it's kinda far for me right now. Long story short (very long story short) I was in pretty good health except for a cold and then a few weeks later I was told I was in Kidney failure and I didn't even know it and then liver failure. I was in the hospital a total of 32 days between two hospitals and finally released in early June. It's crazy... You think you'll live forever and that there will always be tomorrow to do all the things you want to do and then something like this happens and it really makes you step back and reevaluate things...life.

I wish I could donate more but 100.00 is all I can do. My daughter wanted me to donate 1000.00 which I would love to do ... but I told her to get a job... she is 13 but obviously a huge fan! :)

God Bless you and I pray that you have a successful and safe journey!
    Mia Beck Zimmerman

PS. If by any chance your able to perform in St. Mary's County, MD or even Calvert County, MD (Both in Southern Maryland) My family and I will proudly be there to show our support!

    My Response to Mia:

Well hello Mia......you are a sweetheart! Thank you for all the kind words. I do consider myself very blessed in this life, and inspiring others is a feat I challenge myself with daily.
Life is sadly short, but wonderfully full of moments that make you say 'Damn It feels good to be alive today'.

I will be sending some positive thoughts your way for your health, and encourage you to do the same for yourself. It all starts on the inside. Your mind hears what you tell it. Tell it the right things. It will listen.

Your donation to my tour is just another blessing in my life :)

Who knew that my fans would be responsible for getting me out on the road. It was something I was fearful of asking, but now it is the thing that makes me smile bigger and bigger each day. You Rock for that! Thank you.

Hopefully the road will lead me closer to you soon, so I can sit down beside you and sing you a song.

    Sincerely,

    Gareth Asher
