Posted project update #7Wrestling For Jesus Picture Lock
Post CommentHello,
I thought an update would be in order concerning Wrestling For Jesus. We are now at "Picture Lock" for the documentary (which is just over 70 minutes). This means the film is now basically out of my hands - it heads off to the colorist and to the audio mixer. After that graphics get added and it's basically done.
Here's a list of things that have been completed since the last update
-The overall graphic look is now defined. You can see the poster on the facebook page. (www.facebook.com/wrestlingforjesus)
-The soundtrack is now recorded. I was in Nashville in October listening to Charlie Peacock record some pretty amazing work. The unexpected upside is that we'll likely collect some of these tunes into an EP.
-The film has been submitted to film festivals. This may delay your receipt of an actual hard copy of the film, but in the long run, I think this will be worth it.Thanks again for your partnership in this endeavor.

Posted project update #6Post Funding Update
Post CommentFriends and Backers of WFJ,
We've made some serious headway with editing. I used a portion of the money raised to hire an assistant editor for three weeks. During that time we roughed out the entire sequence and constructed a narrative that I think works really well. Now the task is to go through a review process and really work at rounding out the characters. The temptation is to front load the film with all sorts of character development and cultural insight and then back load the second half with narrative development. It's a tough task to figure out how to balance those two together and to interweave them.
Next week I will return to South Carolina for some much needed b-roll footage of the area / environment along with publicity photos.
Then I'll complete the editing process, coordinate the soundtrack and get audio and color done. It's exciting to see this come together.Nate

Posted project update #5We did it!
Thanks to your generosity and support we've made it to our goal, with a couple of hours to spare. There were a couple of moments along the line where I wondered if it would be possible to raise this amount, but over the last week there was some good momentum developed, especially with the release of the trailer. I'm looking forward to sharing the finished product with you this fall.
