Posted project update #26We Could Never Have Done This Without You
Hi Backers,
Although we began and completed this project over a year ago, we just wanted to send out another thank you for everything you gave to help us make this film a reality.
Because of you, we have achieved:
-Domestic and International Distribution less than a year after principal photography began (a major coup for a production company's first crack at a feature);
-Numerous accolades and critical acclaim from the top genre and film blogs, including Aint It Cool...? News, Dread Central, Fangoria, Daily Variety, and many, many more;
-Several awards at major film festivals, including "Best Horror Feature" and both the Phoenix International Film Festival and L.A. Shriekfest, as well as "Best Narrative Feature" at the Sonoma International Film Festival, where "Absentia" became the first horror film in Sonoma's history to ever clench the top prize;
-Multiple doors opened to the filmmaker, creative team, and cast.
Long story short, we are insanely grateful for your help, and as we all move on to different projects, know that we couldn't have gotten here without generosity and overall faith in our project. Thank you, thank you for believing in Mike Flanagan, FallBack Plan, and this little horror film we made and love, "Absentia."
Take care, and in case we haven't said it enough, thank you!
-Your Friends from FallBack Plan and "Absentia."

Posted project update #25ABSENTIA backers, watch your mailbox!
Post CommentHi there "Absentia" supporters,
The overwhelming majority of the Kickstarter prizes have been sent, and should be arriving very soon if they haven't already. Thanks again for your support on this project. Our Kickstarter drive ended a year ago this weekend, and what a year it's been! The film has been met with overwhelming critical praise, a handful of awards, an exciting North American distribution deal, and we're just now finalizing our international distribution as well. None of this would have been possible without you, and it's a real pleasure to finally put this project to bed.
If you're one of the backers who received a DVD of the film, please let us know what you think by rating/reviewing the film on IMDB.
Oh behalf of the cast and crew, thanks again, so much. And that's a wrap.
