Posted project update #16Thanks for your patience....
Post CommentHello Everyone-
Just wanted to thank you for your patience as we wrap up the final stages of 'Remember Where You Are'. We've begun the final process of mixing and color correcting the film (so it'll look & sound nice) thanks to some very sweet people who have offered us their talents. We've also started submitting to film festivals as well! As we start getting acceptance (or rejection) notices, we'll keep you posted on the progress.
Remember Where You Are is a finished story as of now! Depending on our film festival run, screenings of the film should begin shortly after the new year as well as all the prizes will be finishing up and going out early 2012 too!
Please help us continue to spread the word! Like us on Facebook and follow us on twitter:

The more people we reach, the more people can share this story!
I promise to get better at updating you all. Thanks again for all your support.
best,
Wayne

Posted project update #15The Royal Blessing
Well, well, well... I know it's been a long time since we've posted anything here, but Wayne is coming out of a long dark tunnel called 'THE EDIT' and it's time to crank up the foghorn and warn you all that the end is near.
Two nights ago, the four people who made 'Remember Where You Are' (Catherine, Sebastian, Wayne and myself) sat down to watch a rough cut together for the first time. As Wayne and I chewed our nails in anticipation of our stars/subject's reaction, Cath and Bas sat in self-imposed silence ("We don't want to miss any of it... WE TALK WHEN IT'S DONE").
Fortunately, at a particular moment of high drama about three quarters of the way through, Sebastian leaned over and through a stifled, nervous chuckle proclaimed, 'This is an AWESOME film...!'
And Wayne and I breathed. Or broathe. Or finally took air in. The point is, while there is still a lot of work to be done ('massaging', as Wayne likes to call it, though I doubt it will feel the same), we, dear friends, are nearing the end.
Keep your smartphones tuned in and wiggle the rabbit ears on your iPad: the updates will be coming more and more frequently because, frankly, there's finally something to say.
As always, Wayne and I thank you for all your support and kind words. We quite literally could not be doing it without you.
Jeff

Posted project update #14Catching Up
Post CommentHi Folks-
Thanks to all of your amazing support, Jeff and I were able to go to Portland last month and do some follow up interviews with Catherine and Sebastian. We also captured some amazing exclusive performance footage. We'll be sharing this soon over at the website: factionfilms.net. Be sure to check in over there to follow all the progress and catch the latest videos, blog entries, photos, etc.
We still have a few more interviews to get and finish up the edit and then hopefully we'll be sending out the rest of the prizes within the year. We'll keep you posted, but in order to keep up to date on all the happenings be sure to follow our facebook page, Remember Where You Are, and follow us on twitter as well @faction_films.
Most importantly, make sure you check out Catherine's latest music video for "People in the Hole": http://www.youtube.com/watch... It's really fun. I know you'll enjoy it.
We love you all and hope to see you soon.
best,
Wayne -

Posted project update #13First reward sent out, Cath and Bas' Garden Party digital download
Post CommentHi everyone - I sent out the first reward tonight, which is the 11 song exclusive digital download of Catherine and Sebastian's Garden Party. It's a separate email from YouSendIt and the link will work for ONE WEEK, so download it as soon as you get it. This is the only place you can get this recording, and included are five previously unreleased performances from the night of the show.
There's a PDF file with liner notes in there but, long story short, this recording documents the night we met these two musicians and the idea for our film was born. Everybody who pledged money gets this, even those of you who politely declined any reward. Thanks for your modesty, but we appreciate your generosity too much. Hope you like the music. If for some reason you don't receive the email please contact me here or at jeff@factionfilms.net and I will send it again to you asap!
Thanks again. As I type this Wayne is sitting 10 feet away editing. He's six minutes in to a film that will run roughly an hour and a half. I do not envy him at the moment...
