The past few weeks have been absolutely amazing in terms of people and organizations spreading the word about the DIA project and backers stepping forward to pledge their support in any way they could! Thanks to bloggers, tweeters, facebookers, and backers of all sizes, we have made tremendous progress.

Well, the verdict is in folks, and thanks to all of your effort, we can happily announce that the project is 100% funded! This means that we now have the resource base needed to plan and execute phase 1 of our workshop series. Thank you again for all of your interest and support!

    Final Push

Hi Everyone! We are now down to the last 6 days of funding. Our current standing is 32%, and we want to send another HUGE thanks to everyone who has pledged and to everyone who has helped to get the word out.

There has been so much interest in this project, and now that we have hit the new year, we are hoping that many of our fans will take this opportunity to pledge a symbolic amount to really make the workshop happen. We realize that times are tough for a lot of people, and if you are able to pledge, it would be greatly appreciated - even a few dollars pledge can make all the difference! If you are unable to pledge but still want to help out, just keep on spreading the word!

Best wishes for the new year!

The workshops as a whole will benefit those students and other people who participate in them. There are many goals in a sense that work towards the common hope to spread knowledge about new ways of digital design and production in the field of architecture. By bringing these new processes into the hands of students in countries like Brazil or Turkey, we believe that ultimately, we are helping to bring about a new wave of innovation in architecture which goes beyond traditional appraches to design. Students will be local and/or international - really, anyone is welcome to participate. Does this help at all? Thanks for your interest!

10 days to go + looking forward

We have 10 days left to reach our goal, which will bring us into 2010 :) Thank you to everyone who has pledged and all of you out there who have expressed so much interest in the project!

We have recently started a very promising relationship with an organization / studio in Istanbul (Tuspa - www.tuspa.net) to hold a phase 2 student workshop there in Spring / Summer of 2010. There is already a potentially significant funding and participant base for this Istanbul workshop. We are planning ahead in order to test resulting research material from Rio de Janeiro in other parts of the world within different contexts. Recent workshops with Tupsa include "Fibrous Structures" and "Interscalar Systemic Operations".

We are now 21% of the way to kickstarting a very exciting chain of events!

Thanks again for your support and interest :)
