Posted project update #1Project 3/4 done
Post CommentSo A Reason To Sing is almost done. We only have 5 more days of production. The four hardest days are going to be moved to February because of scheduling and location troubles, but the project will get done.
When I first started writing this script I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I literally wrote 35 pages of heartache for myself and anyone else dumb enough to get themselves involved. HAHA! SUCKERS! Nevertheless, I also wrote 35 pages of passion and soul that did not necessarily come out through my fingers but through that which occurs when people commit themselves to something they believe in. I've been astonished to see how many people remain committed to the project despite its apparent curse. Problem after problem is overcome as people motivate each other to keep going despite no pay and being led by a maniac.
I have the best crew in the world. Not only because they are talented, but because they have so much fun on set. Many of these days will live on in my fondest memories. From shooting an exterior on the coldest day of the year to watching everyone turn away as they tried not to laugh at Elise and Michael singing the songs at 250%, it's been a great journey so far. I keep saying that most indy features are easier to produce than this god forsaken 30 minute musical, but what fun would it be if it was easy.
5 more days to go. We're almost done!
Thank you all for your contributions. This would not be possible without you!

Even though illmill seems like a douche he does have a point. I know very little about all this stuff so I have absolutely no idea how this site will benefit me. I have no idea what is wrong with "centralized social networks" because I have no idea what that means. Point is, you should define the purpose and goals of this project in the most visual way possible right after people see the word Diaspora. I visited your site to find out if I could benefit from whatever you guys are creating, but it didn't answer anything because you continued to use terminology that people that are bad at being nerds (like me) have never seen before. In my opinion, you should find some people who don't know anything about all this and find the best way to explain it to them. Then you should consolidate that info and put it on the home page of your website. Good luck. I think this is a good idea...although I'm not sure.
