I'm pretty sure that I'm Ol' Dirty Brock... but we can share it.

    Home Stretch!

Do my eyes deceive me? Are we really *rubs eyes* at $371? You guys are rad, and I'm a cheesy fool.

Thank you thank you thank you so much! 20 hours to go and we have surpassed the goal! With new backers coming in on even the last day! How great is that?

The video I promised (if we reached my goal) is pretty much done, unless another person sends me good footage. I think it's pretty awesome and ONLY BACKERS GET TO SEE IT!

    Thus far, the video includes:

Pretty girls, a panda sweater, a gnome, my roommate, and a Star Wars look-alike, among other things.

If you are intrigued and haven't donated, be sure you do before time's up! Even a dollar means complete video access.

Expect the video to be posted early next week.

As for the photo below, my brother took it. He sent it to me with the caption: "Muster saved my life on the cruise between Stockholm and Helsinki." I enjoyed that.

Past the goal and back again...

We surpassed the $333 goal for a short while this morning, with TheFilmGuy pitching in the last bit. But then, with a reduced pledge by another backer (I totally get it, times are tight), we're back under the mark.

The good news is: only $11 to go!

68 hours to make $11? We can do it! But, I can only do it with your help! Please spread the word in these last few days; they're crucial. I mean, just because my goal is $333 doesn't mean we can't surpass that. I could use a little bit extra to send a copy of the zine to my Moms & Pops.

Either way, this Kickstarter project is certainly playing games with my heart. (But that's where the thrill of it comes in, I guess! Suspense!)

$56 TO GO! MAYBE DANCE VIDEO!

Looks like we have 5 days to make just $56. We can do it!

And to give you some incentive, if we can meet our goal, there may or may not be something in the works to reward all of you wonderful backers. And it may or may not be an international dance video involving Muster contributors and fans. And it may or may not be to a song from 1999.

I can only tell you two things for sure:

    1) I will only post it if we make our goal!

    2) Only Backers will be able to see it, so if you're curious and you haven't pledged anything, you better get on that. Even $1!

Everyone at Muster appreciates your support! Thank you for having faith!

    With love and mustard,

    em

Have you seen Muster's Review Preview?

If you haven’t heard, Muster will be attending Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland this August. There’s an amazing line-up, with acts like Kanye West, Lykke Li, Röyksopp, Empire of the Sun, The Human League, Mogwai, Iron & Wine, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, First Aid Kit, and so many more. But before we pack our bags and head off for the fair-weathered Finland, we’re going to give you some cool shit to read in advance.

Instead of the normal blah-blah blurb you find on most other blogs, Muster will be taking a different approach to Flow’s excellent variety of artists: we’ll be dealing in memories.

Throughout the month of July and into the beginning of August, we will be revealing memories and stories associated with Flow’s performers, written by the lovely Muster contributors. It could be anything that shows a connection with the artist and/or music. Perhaps Writer 1 met his girlfriend at a Pains of Being Pure at Heart concert, or it could be that Writer 2 got too drunk at the Battles gig and had to leave early. Maybe Writer 3 listened to Janelle Monáe on repeat while stuck in traffic and that’s how he knows all the lyrics. And hey, one cool summer night last year, Writer 4 got really stoned and that’s when she fell in love with Pantha Du Prince’s tracks. (I made all of those up.)

Point is: we all connect with music in different ways, and through our different experiences. And what better way to celebrate a music festival than to review some of those memories? Shit, at Flow, we’ll be making new ones.

And here's the very first one! Regular contributor Hanna Hurme reminisces about booze, lies and Kanye West in her college days. With gorgeous art by Mark Ilott.

Check it out, and keep an eye out for future Review Preview features!
