Yes, I still intend on making this!

First: a huge apology for not following through on this like I had planned. A generous way to put what happened is that I've been busy with other projects. But! I have made a commitment to make Wikipedia Offline, and I still think it's an app that should exist. I just need to make some time for it. Thanks for your continued patience and stay tuned.

    And... here we go

Sorry for the long hiatus on updates, I've been traveling a lot, but now I'm back in New York and will get down to proper development on Wikipedia Offline. Today was the "money is released day," so I'm all set to get my iPhone Developer Program membership going. I'll be posting more updates here as they happen.

    Well that happened fast

This is excellent, thanks for funding me! Now that we've surpassed the $99 pledge goal it's my turn to make an actual thing you can use! As I mentioned in my first update, I probably won't find proper development time for this thing for about another week or two. But I'll post updates here once I get started on things.

I should point out there's no need to keep donating at this point. But here is one place you might want to direct your generosity: http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Donate

Thanks again to everyone who pitched in!

Hey Ilteris, yeah, I am a huge fan of Instapaper! Feature-wise I guess the recursive article saving thing might differentiate this the most. And the interaction is different -- no need login or browse in MobileSafari or use bookmarklets.
