Posted project update #4Release and Rewards
Sorry that it's been quiet here recently. I know I've said this before, but once again I wanted to thank everyone who has taken this project as far as it is.
The first set of rewards were suppose to go out this month along with the digital release of the book. When the campaign was set up in December, March was a optimistic date for completion of the book that proved to be nothing more than optimistic. Some things fell through that would have spread the project along. However, we are still working on it and expect a completion date for the digital and print edition for summer 2012.
Thanks for your patience and we hope to deliver a final product that will live up to your expectations. I'm glad Donovan's story means so much to so many people.

Posted project update #3You did it!
Congratulations everyone! Not only did we hit our funding goal, but we hit it with 19 days to spare! On another happy note, this happened the same week as Donovan's 9th birthday.
We are so glad that this project means so much to so many people. We will continue to give you guys updates to it's progress. We are looking at different publishing options and hoping to have the book in your hands by late spring.
Donations will still be accepted until early February. Anything extra from our goal will go towards unforeseen publishing and promotion costs as well as program fees for Donovan. Feel free to keep sharing the links to others who you feel might be interested.
The title of this update is called "You did it" because this all happened because of all of you. Everyone who donated, shared the link or their Facebook pages, Tumblr or Twitter accounts made sure that the word got out and people donated. We are extremely touched by the everyone who came out to help Donovan.
Thank you everyone for helping this become accomplished.

Posted project update #211 days in
Post CommentWe are about 11 days into the fundraiser and I'm very thankful for everyone who donated. I know how hard times are and that there are many things more worthy of money than this. Your generosity is much appreciated.
My only complaint is that there aren't more people out there like you guys. We have 49 days left and aren't at 10 percent yet. You have all done your part and that is appreciated, but if you have it in you to do more then I request...
1) Post about the project on your Facebook if you have one.
2) Tweet about it on Twitter.
3) Blog on Tumblr and get your friends to reblog. Use the widget with the countdown....it's more motivating.
4) The old fashioned offline way...tell your friends in person. If you know anyone who might be interested or have the ability to donate, encourage them to do so.
Once again I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all you've done.

Hope this is still on schedule! I am anxiously awaiting this project! My son is turning 8, has Aspergers, and is SW obsessed..so this book will REALLY speak to him.
