Regarding the packaging.... I certainly appreciate the unique design and it seems like it will very easily protect the hubs during shipping. This container looks like it can be repurposed/upcycled for other uses which is nice. My only concerns would be around the notion of taking this product to retail. If there's an online or direct sales only strategy, then perhaps not a big deal. But, you would never be able to get this on a shelf. The side has no printing and you can't stand it on edge because it will roll off the shelf. Additionally, the round shape means that your outer shipping box has a considerable amount of empty/unused space. So, in a way, you are shipping a volume of air that digs into your margin when you get charged dimensionally by shippers (in addition to weight). So, while *I* personally appreciate and look forward to the packaging design (though I would be fine with mine wrapped in shredded scrap paper/newsprint just the same to reduce waste), you might extperience pushback if you ever pursue a retail strategy. Just some quick thoughts from a repeat backer...:-)

So, after getting the steel discs finally removed from the magnets, the two N52's decided to reorient themselves end-to-end rather than edge-to-edge. I have now spent a good half hour trying not to smash my fingers and get these things to budge even a hair... no luck. I have tried using tools, but things tend to come flying towards each other and offer no mechanical advantage. I have tried finding thin cardboard or plastic to "slice" between the two magnets, but the attraction is too strong. At this point, I'm almost considering having to build this: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/buildamagnetseparator.asp just in order to separate these and build my catapult. Looking for more ideas before I spend a weekend building a device that will let me build a device that will take 10 minutes. :-) By the way, I made arrangements to work on the aluminum prototype John started. I will post here or advise John when I have something to show if I'm able to fix the prototype pieces (they need a lot of love because the thickness of the metal doesn't match the slotted cut dimensions). I should probably indicate that this will be a one-off effort and not something John (or I) will be offering... the expense is just not reasonable. Anyway, if anyone has more ideas on breaking these magnets apart before I go crazy and build an overkill device to do it, please share. Thanks!

Is this stepped design (rather than a smooth cone) going to impact the way items are inserted into the organizer? In other words, are items going to "catch" on the steps as you attempt to insert them rather than smoothly slide in as before? I think the usability experience is an equally important consideration as durability and easy of manufacturing. If one has to furiously wiggle things around to get a pen, phone, whatever to fully seat, I think that could be frustrating.

Does it only work via the "tapping" motions as shown in the video or can you just drag the stylus across the screen in a fluid motion for a contiguous line? I have yet to see or hear anything regarding the EIGHT I pledged for (and I don't really care when they show up - though eventually show up they must), but this makes me nervous that after the hype and delays, the results will be less than satisfactory.
