Posted project update #6Entering a New Chapter
Post CommentWe started designing this jewelry line last September, and launched the Kickstarter drive to try to fund it on October 12th. For six months we've been focused on making and launching this collection, and it's hard to believe we've finally done it!
Thanks so much for giving us the chance to jump-start our company. Based upon the feedback so far, it looks like the future is indeed shiny! The new pieces are now for sale in our online store - http://www.designglut.com/design-store - and will be carried by several boutiques and museum stores as early as next month.
Watch the attached video to see us opening the prototypes for the first time, and launching the collection at NYIGF a couple weeks ago. From here, we'll be working on further building relationships with stores that are interested in carrying the line, and most exciting-ly, designing our Fall/Winter collection!
This is the last update we'll be posting on Kickstarter - for further news, be sure to follow us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/designglut), Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Design-Glut/112420472138134) or just visit our website (http://designglut.com).
Happily,

Posted project update #5Production: the waiting game
It's been a month since our last update, and lots has happened! All of our designs are in process by our manufacturer, and we've officially gotten a booth at the New York Gift Fair (http://nyigf.com). We will be launching the entire new jewelry collection at that show! We're psyched. The wheels are all turning, and now it's our job to make sure everything stays on track.
Most of you have received your rewards by now. We hope you like them! There are a couple exceptions, mainly those of you who pre-ordered the new designs. Based on the last email from our manufacturer, it looks like we'll be able to get all of those to you by the beginning of January.
Unfortunately that means we won't be able to get them to you before the holidays, which is what we've been pushing for. We're really bummed about this. I know some of you were planning on giving the necklaces as gifts. If this is the case, please send us a message and we'll do our best to rush yours. The schedule is extremely tight, but depending on the individual situation we may be able to work with you.
Thanks so much for all your support,
Kegan and Liz.

Posted project update #4What a success!
It's hard to believe we started this Kickstarter madness 30 days ago. Wow. This morning the campaign closed, and we ended up raising 110% of our goal! We're in total awe of all the support, and feel confident that we're designing great stuff you guys want. All the feedback has been priceless. Thanks again for believing in us, and we'll keep you posted on our progress as we make this new line and hopefully have even more successes with it!
Speaking of stuff you want, we'll be in touch with you very soon about the specifics of getting you your rewards. Some of you will be getting products we already have made, and we'll be shipping those right away. For those of you who pre-ordered the brand new designs, we're already in touch with our manufacturer and will be hard at work to try to get you those by mid-December.
So, with that, it's back to work on the line - This is happening!!!!
Thanks a million,
Liz and KeganP.S. Because it's more fun to see updates with pictures - here's what's up in our studio this morning. We're working on the final production files of the jewelry, as well as making paper mockups of the entire line. Now that we're funded, we can finally go into the real materials!

Posted project update #3The Home Stretch
Post CommentHello everybody,
Happy Friday! It's been a great one for us so far, and we hope it's great for you too.
This Kickstarter drive has been quite a test of our nerves. We got off to a slow start - it took us over two weeks to raise just 25% of our goal. But from there, the momentum has been amazing. It's only a short four days since our last update, where we hit 50%. I'm proud to announce that right now, thanks to all of your help, we are 75% OF THE WAY THERE! We really can't thank you enough. We'd started to give Design Glut up for dead, and thanks to all your support we suddenly feel like it's stronger than ever and the future IS shiny. We're all making this happen together.
But, but BUT. We can't celebrate too soon, because the way Kickstarter works is our project only receives the funding if we raise the entire amount. So if you haven't shared this with your friends yet, please do! We need as many people as possible to get on board so we can cross the finish line. We only have five days left (Ug!). Take a look at all our new designs, and if anything strikes your fancy, please consider increasing your pledge. if you'd like to combine rewards and get more than one thing, just send me a message and I'll make you a special reward level. (Necklaces make great gifts.) And because everybody likes pictures, here's new renderings of some of the designs we have up for presale!
Have a great weekend,
Kegan & Liz -

Posted project update #2And we're halfway there!
Post CommentWe're happy to announce that yesterday we hit the $5,000 mark, woohoo! This is huge. We just need to keep the momentum rolling and raise another $5,000 before the clock closes our campaign in ONLY 10 DAYS. It's kind of terrifying, but we hope we can do it.
The response to the designs we've put up for preorder has been so positive that we're sharing five more designs with you guys today! Take a look and as always, let us know what you think! A couple people have been interested in preordering more than one design, and if you'd like to do that, please just shoot us a message. We'll make a special reward level just for you.
Love,
Liz & KeganP.S. Have friends that like jewelry? Please tell them about us! The more we can get the word out, the better chance we have to actually make this real and get you your awesome rewards.

Hi, yes it is a Christmas gift. I'll be leaving for Europe on Dec 20th though... Any chance of getting it by then? If not, can you ship it directly to Sweden instead?
Thanks!!
Is the dachshund necklace included in the "new designs" that are delayed?
Hi,
I was hoping to give this as a xmas present. I realize that delays happens...so whatever you could do would be great.
Thanks!!
