Posted project update #3here, there, and everywhere!
Ok, so.
So much has happened and the Wish Book project is going really strong.I'm in South India in a place called Auroville.
I worked at a farm for a week and now I'm sitting in a bamboo hut at the Bamboo research Center where I just finished carving a girl's face on a piece of bamboo with all the other women who sit on the ground and so peacefully make jewelry.
I've been following all the signs and trusting the universe and I've met and documented some incredible beauty.
Before I left I spent a few days in Delhi and was feeling A LOT- but a good lot! I tried to materialize that feeling into my art and ended up making a video that shows some of the beauty I've seen here.
Here's a link to it:

The farm was incredibly grounding and I had no idea how good it would feel to work with the earth and how much it would make me appreciate the food I eat everyday.
While working I met some amazing souls from Quebec, Israel, Berlin, Denmark, Chile, Korea, Germany and so on and so forth.
It just made me realize how connected we all are.
We would sit cleaning mint leaves, cutting onions, or beating millet and sing songs in someone's language. Words that give thanks and words that all point to love.
I got to work in this cultural center here in a village and the children there were so beautiful. This guy Ezekiel from Argentina ran it and had used all recycled materials to make art projects with the kids. We made masks our of coconut leaves, wallets out of old cartons and bracelets out of scraps of paper and clothes.
The kids would spend so long on one of these things and then just pass it to you with their bright shinny smiles and go "for you!"
Complete selflessness.
I asked the woman, Sangeera, who ran the farm, if she had one wish that everyone could learn something what would it be?
She said "I wish everyone could learn how to.....
trust life."
This would be good because..
"because it would make life a lot easier."
I've been thinking about this line ever since, whenever I begin to get anxious or unsure, that line comes back to me.
trust life.
Trust life, trust each other, trust our hearts, trust our decisions.
I hope you are all well.
Will check in again soon.
Much love from the south, I miss you all and love you all, and am grateful for you all-
Off to China soon! :)

Posted project update #1Hello world!
Post CommentNamaste Beautiful friends, helpers and the like!
Things are still going swiftly here, I'm hoping to get into the orphanage (or gourmet school) down the road in the next few weeks and visit and collect some wishes. I heard they love foreigners and I'd love to work with some of the children there. I'm also headed to Delhi this weekend to fix my comp so I can get an updated video up! I'm currently working on the schools PC and its a bit rough.
Last night i went to my friend Amrita's and collected a wish there. She is such a beautiful creature and I'm really sad she recently stopped working at the school.
Here's a link to that wish if you'd like to see;

I hope you're all doing well and spread the word on the project if you can!
Namaste :)

Courtney,
What an amazing journey! Kind of reminds me of my "hippie days" back in the late '60's.
As you explore the vast beauty, diversity, and love of the universe, I pray that you would come face to face with the Creator of all! Hugs and kisses! Aunt Pam
Beautiful. I love your observations and find you very inspiring. I'm also very thankful for the work you are doing in my country. Glad you are having a nice experience, and I wish you all the very best for the rest of your trip. Do trust your instincts always. May you be safe and health. Love, Puma
