If the main problem is that the original production effort was spent on picks that turned out to be too brittle, then he needs to be and should have been completely upfront about that. Even if it is embarrassing, at least it is honest and understandable. Right now, there's much conjecture and theory that looks bad for his reputation and on going career. Okay, show of hands, me: Projects backed: 18 Projects funded: 17 Projects that have completed at least one goal: 13 Mean time to one goal completion: 6 months Projects that have completed all goals: 11 Mean time to goals completion: 7 months Mean % of funding for projects: 240% Avg % of funding for projects: 737% Avg % of funding for projects that have completed one goal: 802% Avg % of funding for projects that have completed all goals: 1002% Avg % of funding for projects that have completed no goals: 525% * Mean % of funding for projects hat have completed no goals: 403% * Number of weeks since Schulyer Towne stated he would provide weekly updates: Dunno, I actually don't see where he promised this in his updates. Perhaps someone else can backfill this info. Goals completion of this project: 0 ** % of funding for this project: 1,159% Last communication via Kickstarter: 1.8 months Total time for this project: 15 months and counting * locksport not included ** Videos and information shouldn't count, as far as I can tell, those would have been produced anyway without this project and are not tied to its goals. Perhaps he thought he had the production run in the pipeline and was spending the remainder on supporting his publicity efforts (reasonable to me) and was caught in a bind with a much smaller amount of money after the initial production run failed to produce a reliable product.

    "Won" a t-shirt? Shouldn't that be: "Paid for" a t-shirt?
