    Thank You, Everyone!

Thank you for your support of Always a Bridesmaid. Really and sincerely, your generosity and enthusiasm was amazing. Unfortunately, it didn't work out this time, as we fell far short of our goal.

However, awesome indie horror-comedy shall roll on! Although the Kickstarter campaign didn't garner the funds we need, we will continue to save and raise money for this project, and hopefully go into production on it within the next 3-6 months. Long term, we've got our first feature film, SATAN CAMP, in the works. In addition, we hope to be working on various projects for clients in the coming months, as well.

Interested in hearing more about foulmouthed puppets, drunken kitchen experiments, time machines, and nude women possessed by Satan? Stay in touch!

There are two great ways to do this. One, join our Facebook group if you haven't already:
    http://bit.ly/4gVHDm

Two, if you hate Facebook or just don't want to join our group BUT still want to stay in touch, send an email here with the subject line "SUBSCRIBE" and we'll add you to our list.

If you're in New York CIty and really are dying to give us your money, you still can! We hold a regular, somewhat illegal bar night in Brooklyn called the Smith Street Speakeasy, featuring classic cocktails with the best ingredients, in a sophisticated home atmosphere, for about half what you'd pay at the fancy NYC mixology bars. All profits go directly to getting Charred Oak's film projects off the ground. The next one is coming up in a couple of weeks, and the Facebook group or email list will give you the details.

Thanks again, from the bottom of our kooky little hearts, for your interest and support in our work. We'll be in touch!

    THURSDAY OCTOBER 1st...It's On.

Mark your calendars. This Thursday, the 1st of October, Charred Oak Films will be hosting a live, 12-hour webathon to drum up support for ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID and likely reveal many things about ourselves. (And I'm not just talking about skin, either.) Watch it here:

    http://bit.ly/gEySm

We'll take our pitch directly to you, live, while also hosting a few special guests and presentations. We'll also be able to speak directly to you by chat, email, and phone. You can make requests! We will introduce instant-gratification rewards for pledges, and we are certain to embarrass ourselves on-camera multiple times! Stay tuned for details...

We're doing it all because we care about our crazy short film, and we really want to make it.

This is no reason to wait to make your pledge, however! Pledge now, as we promise we will honor each and every one of our backers so far, live on-camera on Thursday. All other super-awesome rewards and incentives still apply!

Thanks for all your support, and please continue to propagate our links, post to your Facebook and Twitter feeds, and talk us up. It really matters, and we really appreciate it.

Let Other People Convince You to Pledge

We've been receiving some very nice coverage in some great blogs recently. Take a look and let OTHERS convince you with their superior logic and enthusiasm:

CRWM makes a case for us on the basis of artistic independence and new ideas:
    http://bit.ly/2eyAsy

The super-cool women-in-horror collective Chainsaw Mafia cries for collective action:
    http://bit.ly/C8Z1D

And Kickstarter themselves gave us a shout-out, too...scroll to the bottom:
    http://bit.ly/lWNLd

We'll need to average more than $750 a day from here on to make our goal. We still believe, and so should you! Thanks for the pledges so far, but what we really need now is some continued help shouting it from the mountaintops, whether they be digital or literal. Thanks for your support!
