Selene Foster

San Francisco, CA

The Museum of Broken Relationships grew from a traveling exhibition revolving around the concept of failed relationships and their ruins. Unlike ‘destructive’ self-help instructions for recovery from failed loves, the Museum offers a chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creation: by contributing to the Museum's collection.

    Tristan_bates

    London calling!

Tristan Bates Theatre are delighted to present The Museum of Broken Relationships. This autumn, the West End's most daring venue is transforming itself into the capital's most exciting exhibition space, becoming the hub of what will be a sprawling multi-site experience encompassing the whole of Seven Dials.
“I had the incredible good fortune to experience the Museum of Broken Relationships in November whilst producing one of the Tristan Bates Theatre’s international shows in Zagreb. Despite the museum’s name, the exhibition is full of hope, life, resilience and inspiration.”
Laura Kriefman, Creative-Producer.

Museum of Broken Relationships wins the Kenneth Hudson Award

    This just in...WE WON!!!

The Kenneth Hudson Award, that is.

This is an award in honour of the founder of the European Museum of the Year Association. The award goes to a museum, person, project or a group of people who have demonstrated the most unusual, daring and, perhaps, controversial achievement that challenges common perceptions of the role of museum in the society and carries forward the spirit of Kenneth Hudson.

I went to this exhibition when it was in San Francisco and have never seen anything like it. It was hilarious and sad and amazing all at once.
