Support Indie Filmmakers - Going Down in LA-LA Land!

    Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. Thanks to all of you, Judas Kiss is entertaining and inspiring people around in the world.

I want to take a moment and chat about another award-winning film that I watched during our film festival run, Going Down in LA-LA Land. Like Judas Kiss, it's a compelling indie movie with high production values, a captivating story, and strong performances.

And now the director, Casper Andreas, is raising money on Kickstarter for self-distribution. Your support will earn you a digital or hardcopy of the movie, VIP tickets, or even screen credit in the movie.

To learn more about Casper and his movie, please head over to his project page on Kickstarter

    Warmest regards,

    J.T. Tepnapa, Director

Trivia: Casper Andreas cast both Charlie David and Sean Paul Lockhart in his movies. You can check out A Four Letter Word for Charlie and Big Gay Musical for Sean Paul Lockhart.

Thank you for putting Judas Kiss and Blue Seraph Productions on the map!

    Happy New Year!

I want to send a huge thank you to all our Kickstarter Backers! You have made our dreams come true not once but thrice! If it were not for your generous donations, we would have not been able to make Judas Kiss the multi-award winning movie it has become.

In addition to helping make Judas Kiss, you also helped put Blue Seraph Productions on the map. People are noticing the amazing work we’ve done with Judas Kiss and they want to see it happen again.

As many of you know, Blue Seraph Productions joined forces with Jade Knight Productions to produce the novel, Something Like Summer to screen. Carlos Pedraza will be adapting the screenplay, while I have been signed to direct. We are still in the early stages of development, but I urge you check out this best selling coming-of-age love story. Amazon listed the novel as one of the best books of 2011.

And if one isn’t enough, Blue Seraph has also acquired another screenplay, an original mystery-thriller called The Dark Place; written by Judas Kiss co-producer, Jody Wheeler. And both Sean Paul Lockhart and Timo Descamps have signed on to star in major roles. We are looking to complete casting and financing, with a view to shoot later this year towards a 2013 debut.

Thank you for believing in us! We love making movies, and now we get to do it all over again. If you have any questions about Judas Kiss or any of our upcoming projects, please feel free to contact me.

    Best regards,

    J.T. Tepnapa / Director

Yes, everyone who requested DVDs have had their's shipped. Those Kickstarter backers that requested Blu-rays will have to wait several months. Others may have requested no reward or did not fill out a rewards form. Please contact me via judaskiss@me.com if you have trouble using Kickstarter. Susie, I'll certainly help get that DVD to you! I'll contact you directly! :) Best, JT

First Festival: Judas Kiss to Screen at Phoenix

A special announcement to all our Kickstarter Fans and Backers,

The Phoenix Film Festival has picked Judas Kiss to screen in its opening weekend, in a primetime slot on Friday, April 1.

The event, which begins with an exclusive party the night before, is a partnership between the 11-year-old mainstream festival, Phoenix Pride and the Desperado Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

We’re thrilled that Judas Kiss’ screening is the result of a collaboration by these community organizations, and that our film gets such a great platform to attract a broad audience.

According to the Phoenix Film Festival website, Judas Kiss will screen at 7:25 pm on Friday, April 1, at the Harkins Scottsdale/101 Theatre 7.
Check out the listing and add it to your calendar if you’re attending the festival. Doing those things increases our “buzz” score on the festival website, which could bring more people to the screening.

We’re planning a number of exciting events around the screening, which we will announced in the coming days and weeks. Among the cast and crew planning to attend our first festival are:

Stars: Charlie David, Richard Harmon and Brent Corrigan
Cast members: Samantha Rund, Vince Valenzuela, Julia Morizawa and Genevieve Buechner
    Director: J.T. Tepnapa
    Writer: Carlos Pedraza
Producers: Jody Wheeler, Steve Parker, J.T. Titchenal and Charlie Brewer

This has been a very long road, and thank you for being a part of our success. It will still be sometime before we'll be able to fulfill all our Kickstarter gifts. But we'll be starting on a few of them.

Head over to the Judas Kiss Fan Page on Facebook for Phoenix events and other upcoming festival announcements!
