So, it’s been a while since you’ve heard a peep from me and VHS, but I assure you that the team and I have been extremely busy and hard at work with preproduction and finance for the film.
Although the bulk of our four week shoot is now slated to begin in early December, we will be shooting our first scene this September 25th on Martha’s Vineyard.
It’s a simple wedding reception scene, and we need extras!
Looking for about 30-50 heads.
Since many of you wonderful folks who contributed are Islanders, I thought it would be great to offer you a wee bit of screen time, should you so desire (the same goes to anyone from anywhere, if they feel like traveling).
Remember, the film is set in the late 1980’s, so if you’re planning to attend, appropriate wardrobe must be worn. Suits, tuxes, and dresses are all great as long as they don’t look noticeably modern. If you have anything left over from the 80’s, even better. Not looking for anything too flashy or silly (too “80’s”...) but any piece of legitimate garment would be excellent. More or less, just wear what you would wear to anyone’s daytime wedding.
The scene is going to take place during the middle of the wedding reception. Everyone’s job will simply be to mix and mingle as they would at a real reception (there will be booze! HUZZAH!), just no talking about the film (Duh).
As you recall from the Kickstarter description, it will be shot home-video style with a big shoulder-mounted VHS camcorder. You can feel free to acknowledge the presence of the camera, and even record a little “wish you two the best of luck” bit to the films newly-wed couple if you like (though I cannot guarantee it’s usage once we hit the cutting room).
The call time is tentative as of this moment, but the shoot will likely be taking place between 11am and 8pm. You will be fed (to the best we can muster - small budget, many mouths...), and you will be endlessly thanked!

Greetings everyone!
So it's day 10 and we're 36% funded! Incredible! (and ahead of schedule!)
A massive thank you to all of our backers thus far. You're all amazing.
