Posted project update #7Critical Mass!
Post CommentHey everyone!
As you may have noticed, we have achieved our goal of $10,000! We are standing triumphantly at the top of the mountain and we want to thank all of you for your contributions. There are 60 hours to go, so if you know of anyone who was interested in contributing this is their chance. Contributions beyond our $10,000 goal will allow us to more quickly produce the prototype and will give us more flexibility in choosing our tools. We will be getting in contact in the coming week or so to get details about how to get your rewards to you.
Thanks again for all your support.

Posted project update #6Game Engine Update
Post CommentPerdition will be created using the Torque 3D (T3D) Engine as its backbone and will utilize Torque Add Ons where they are needed to reduce development time - such as FMOD Ex for specialized audio, Verve for our cut-scenes, the AI Starter Kit, Game Mechanics Kit, and the Platformmer Starter Kit. Blender has been the primary modeling and animation tool. Other engine considerations we made were the Source Engine, Ogre3D, Unreal Engine, and the Trinigy Vision Engine. After trying some of the other engines out, we have come to the conclusion that T3D will be easy to use, easy to recruit talent for, and is well supported (both in community and technical). T3D matches up well with our needs and provides us with a game engine that is both flexible and extendable, while still being affordable for an indie development team.

I don't see my blog URL on the thank you page. It's http://nerd.is
