Posted project update #8The Penners come through thanks for the pledge!
Post CommentFamily and friends... what more can I say. Suddenly, this crazy idea is looking possible thanks to you. Two pledges so far just today and I can't tell you how happy I am.
Even if this doesn't make it, just the idea that you believe in this to take this step with me in the music world is making me feel convinced that I can't stop, gotta keep trying.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Posted project update #6It's still going, please repost this if you want to help!
Post CommentI've attached a demo of the songs I am working up for the CD. Money is really running out on this and I would love it if you could repost the link to the project and maybe between your friends and their friends, etc... backers will contribute and we can make it!
It will happen, we're a team!
Thanks,

Posted project update #4A sequoia starts as a tiny seed, so can this grow into our CD
Post CommentI just wanted to draw an analogy. I have a packet of sequoia seeds, I was going to plant them, but to be honest, I don't have room for a giant redwood in suburbia. But I love the idea of these super small things having the enormous potential and longevity of a tree. The sequoia in particular that can live for thousands of years, give joy and solace to countless living things.
A dollar, a referral, an email to your Facebook friends are all like this tiny seed.
You get the picture. Any tiny bit helps, don't feel afraid to not be in a position to directly pledge, just tell others, you can be like the wind that carries the sequoia seed!!Deep, huh? Seriously, if you tell others and share the widget/link/email/facebook, however you tell others in your circle of contacts, that's just huge. Thank you. And hey, if you can invest in the CD, FABULOUS, there are returns, my friends. We're gonna make a CD, isn't that cool?

Posted project update #3Refining the project and rewards, incentives for those who have pledged
Post CommentWith expert advice, I am making changes to the kickstarter project. Some of the rewards I cannot change because they have already been pledged to. But I have tried to add some other levels.
So since I cannot change some of the reward levels already for those who have already graciously pledged, I want to say this: those who pledge $15, including those who already did, will get the CD in digital format before it gets pressed.
That's right: if you invest $15 you get the CD to download.
Thanks everybody!
Remember: if you read this and you can't pledge now, there are not only still a lot of days left, but you can still "pledge" by simply spreading the word. Think of it: maybe your neighbor can pledge, well, you just did your part, besides that, if that neighbor tells their network about the CD, they might also tell someone that can pledge, too.

Posted project update #2Thanks and more thanks!
Post CommentHey friends, and I mean that most sincerely...
In just a few hours, there are 3 donations already and I haven't even sent out an email to those I know who aren't on Facebook, that is wonderful!
I just want to say what a cool idea this is.
Micki Furr was the first donor
Reed and Liz Fish (my sponsors on this site, I wouldn't even know it existed without them) were next
and my bestest friend, Jeanna Arnold, my SistaSax (among other wind instruments) is the latestThanks for literally JUMPING ON THE BAND WAGON!!!
I guess I need to get my Sharpie and photos ready to roll, eh?
hugs and many thanks,
Ava
P.S. please spread the word if you think of someone who might be interested in the project, you don't have to but the more eyes, hearts, ears that are exposed, the better the chances are of my reaching the goal. -
