    News

    Hello,

We are currently getting our definite plan on what to do with the film together. Right now, we have a new trailer done and our close to finished with the website so be on the lookout for that. The film has been submitted to Tribeca, but has not been accepted YET, once we get an answer on that, we'll really decide how we want to attack this year with it. We're very excited to have it done, but we now have to make sure we don't cut off any potential opportunities, by not being strategic with where we screen it.

I've put everyone's name in the credits, so we have that done in terms of rewards, but we still have everyone else to take care of, it's going to happen like I said, just bear with us. I have organized everyone's name into your respective reward tiers, so now we just need to see where we can start. Some things like the Miya Bailey prints, will happen sooner than later, because they are easier to get done and more inexpensive, things like the tattoos will have to be scheduled into the year as we go and things like the coffee table book and dvd will happen when this ENTIRE process is finished.

The coffee table book and film will most likely come out together, so I am still taking new photos for it, especially when spring returns. The film is finished, but still more or less in it's screening stage, where I may change or add tiny things. When it's in a state that we will deliver to our supporters in advance copy form, will be determined by, when and how we recieve distribution.

Thanks for your patience and support

    Home Stretch

Hello All! I am happy to announce we have finally started editing, it took a bit longer than we wanted, but we've started and are looking to get this thing finished before New Years Day( would be great to celebrate the possibilities of a finished film). A few things have changed, but the goal remains the same. With the film edited and going thru the submission process in the first quarter of next year, we will finally be able to focus on rewarding those who believed in us, so stay tuned for that.

One last thing you guys can do to help, there is a chance that if we are dope enough, Tribeca will put our lil ole documentary in their prestigious festival come April of next year. Soooooo, a lot of what we may or may not do will be based off that decision. All we ask is that you direct the energy you've focused helping us get this far, towards getting this story amongst those masses in NYC. It was very humbling and exciting to be contacted about our project, so who knows what it will be like to get in that festival; which is easily one of the top 5 most important in the industry. Time will tell, but I have a really good gut feeling about it all.

    Thanks guys

    Almost Finished (kinda)

    Whats up everybody,

It's been a nice little minute since an update, alot of you follow miya or myself on twitter, so perhaps you have been keeping up from there. Either way, things haven't slowed down in terms of the process associated with completing the film. Right now we are in editing, looking to have it completed and ready to go for submissions, next month. We do have a couple new developments though. These have been sprouting up with some regularity, so that's also kind of why I haven't done any individual city to city updates. I'm not going to say too much here about what may be happening the next couple months, just know we have been contacted by a very prestigious film festival and we have one more country abroad to visit, that will really help bring this film full circle.

Now we are just locking in, to make sure we deliver the best film we can for you all, our loved ones, festivals and most importantly the one who we have put so much faith in and allows these great things to happen...God.

The film is about two months from being completely finished, from there we PROMISE, we're going to begin giving back to all our contributors. Thanks for your belief, love and patience.

    Color Outside the Lines Tour

    Hey All,

We are moving full steam ahead with the tour to finish up this film. This month has already been super busy, but hey that's how it's supposed to be. We have a self imposed deadline of November 10th to churn out a 1st edit, primarily because the late deadline for SXSW is Nov 15th. We definitely want the eyes of that demographic to see this film so we're working hard to get it ready. We're testing out animators, getting the score situated, looking for stock footage, burning up the interstate, but still having a great time as well!

We've already hit Asheville,NC and Orlando with New Orleans up next tomorrow. New Orleans is gonna be a huge part of the film because as those who know their history are aware, the culture's mother; Jacci Gresham is down there. EPIC SHIT ALERT! I haven't been able to do the video updates like I usually do since I really only have two days between getting back home and leaving again, but there will be a comprehensive update or two when we get to the end of this month.

After NO, we have Detroit, Cincinatti, San Fran and Seattle on deck...can't forget about London and Amsterdam as well. Also we are planning to do the first set of rewards the two weeks we are here in September, everyone get ready for "Dripping Star" Day at City of Ink. Stay tuned!

    THANKS TO ALL!

I'm sure Kickstarter sent out an email, letting everyone know that we reached our goal, but I personally wanted to thank everyone again for helping us get one step closer to our dreams. The Color Outside the Lines Tour is going to start at the end of the month in Asheville, NC once everything is sorted out on Amazon with the money that has been donated.

The cities we are going to are:

New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Cincinatti, Detroit, Seattle, Orlando with revisits to San Fran and NYC as possibilities as well.

As far as rewards are concerned we will be able to accurately sort that out in a couple of weeks, Amazon, takes 14 days to process the money donated which basically involves makes sure everyone's credit or debit info goes thru. Once we have the final tally we can than begin figuring out how to get rewards to everyone. Things like the coffee table books, advance copies of the film things contingent on materials gathered while shooting will be available at a later time since we have to put those things together. The tattoo rewards are going to be set up on special days and appointment based, so just bear with us as we get everything sorted out.

Of course you can expect updates from all the places we visit, so stay tuned and again thank you very much for your support.
