Posted project update #10THE FINAL PUSH: 24 Hours Left
Post CommentHey, Everyone! Hope you're doing well. Phew. I've been scrambling to get out a press release to try to share our Battle Scars from our first Crowdfunding project. It's all the rage now, you see. And you may be surprised what 24 hours can manifest on The Internet. :)
At this point, I'm sitting back, settling into a comfy chair and will Blog at the pace of the comments, or as best I can. This is the calm before the storm. :)
Watch for Tweets, there shouldn't be more than a couple an hour, if that frequent. Keep on doing what you're doing. I appreciate all the support and well wishes! Let's push this baby over the mountain!
After we reach 10%, these updates will be private and only available to backers. Another incentive for you lookie-loos. If you're not a Backer already, won't you please do the right thing and Pledge a buck?
Back in a bit...

Posted project update #9"48 Hours to go on Kickstarter: A Realtime Retrospective" Blog launched!!! :)
We've launched a realtime Blog of our last 48 Hours on Kickstarter! Crowdsourcing is becoming a movement, so I'm sharing my experience LIVE on our blog. Stay tuned!
Going forward, at some point, these updates will become private and available to Backers only. When that happens, the best place to get updates will be http://www.budurl.com/48hrs/. We'll be updating the Backers privately via Kickstarter Updates (which you're reading one of now).
Thanks so much everyone! It's time to dig in for the last 48 Hours and document our successful crowdfunding of seVen(tm). I'm delighted to finally be able to share the game with you, and am looking forward to getting it on the App Store and in the hands of Music Lovers Everywhere! :)
If you'd like to do the most help with the least amount of effort, create a Twitter account if you don't already have one, and a) Re-Tweet anything with #seventweets in it, and also just start having conversations on Twitter with people you think would be interested. Just ask them if they've heard about it and what they think. We want *all* the feedback we can get, not just the pats on the back. Help us make this the product you'd want your kids playing with! You're part of the challenge now, and I really appreciate that! :)
We'll be releasing a Press Release tomorrow and anticipate quite a bit of interest in discussing Crowdfunding and Crowdsourcing in Austin (one of the most entrepreneurial cities in the U.S.). Innovation is the key to our future, and crowdfunding is how we're solving the problems with the broken capital markets that are in place today. I challenge you to do your own research and find out how Crowdsourcing and/or Crowdfunding can be a tool for you. Have you thought about your own Kickstarter project? It doesn't cost anything, and I will personally see to it that anyone who backs this project and would like to post their own gets it on Kickstarter (or at least in front of them. They don't approve things too far outside their current model... more to be announced about that gap in the market soon). In the meantime, go to IndieGoGo or the Refresh Everything project sites for more info.
It sucks to ask for help, but without it, we stay pretty much in the same place.
Thanks again! Best to all of you!
Ciao,
-Jei.

Posted project update #8Follow my Blog - http://budurl.com/crowdfundingblog
Post CommentI've started a real-time Blog (http://budurl.com/48hrs/) where I'm sharing my experience with my first Social Funding project, in an effort to help other people take advantage of the process and my Lessons Learned so far, and for the LAST 4 DAYS of our campaign.
Keep the questions coming! You've all been such a great catalyst for this project! Let's see if we can't cause a groundswell and be the first successful "TwitterFunded" project, by leveraging Twitter and Social Funding. Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, Pepsi Refresh, it's such a refreshing (sorry for the pun) to have the social support of people's passion and action coming together in the form of projects on Kickstarter.
Thanks for your help! Please follow us on Twitter @AppRanch, and @arrodeo to follow our first Crowdsourcing Project - [Project Stetson], a challenge to assemble a team and build a Twitter-related business in record time, and create jobs overnight. Literally. Stay tuned for more... :)

Posted project update #77 Day Challenge for seVen(tm)
Post CommentHey, everybody. I just realized that there are only seven days left in our Kickstarter project! :)
I've started a Twitter/Facebook campaign to try to get the word out as far and wide as we can in seven days.
I think we can do it. As an aside, the whole Social Funding, Crowd Sourcing thing is exploding. I've meet a Dallas-based entrepreneur who has challenged the local Tech Startup community in Austin to launch a company in 2 weeks.
If they can start a company in 2 weeks, we can get this project funded in seven days!! :)
Who's up for the challenge!? :)
Help us by Tweeting or posting on your Facebook page to share with your friends and family who might be interested in helping bring seVen to market. Check out our Twitter and Facebook pages (and my personal FB page) for stuff to Retweet, share.
Thanks for your help and support! :) I'll be updating quite a bit over the next seven days! :)
Ciao,
-Jei.

Best of luck. I really believe in seVen and I can't wait to see it on the market.
