Posted project update #9This Picture is a Big Deal
Hey all,
I hope you are well. This picture of me is a big deal. Why? Because it's one of the few times I've not been at my home or at a friend's house coughing up my lungs or having my lymph nodes eat my face. Over dramatic? Maybe a little.
About a month ago, I got hit with an upper respiratory infection. I thought it was allergies until I crashed with a fever and finally saw a doctor. A couple shots later, I thought I was back in business. About a week after that, I woke up feeling even worse than before, now with my neck literally so swollen I could barely turn it side to side. A friend of mine had just recovered from meningitis, and after exchanging a few texts about symptoms, he encouraged me to go to the emergency room since I had several symptoms he had.
Before testing me for that (which requires a spinal tap...uh, no thanks!) they tested me for mono and strep...and strep was the verdict, thank goodness. With a script for strong antibiotics and one for pain, I trudged to the pharmacy, stocked up on soup, cookie dough and pudding and locked myself in my house for almost a solid four days.
Today is day five on the antibiotic, and my fever is gone, my glands are back to a normal size and I am eating solid foods again without wanting to scream in pain (which screaming also makes me want to scream in pain. It's a very self-defeating cycle). I am out and back in my regular "office" space / local caffeine watering hole in West Nashville.
The eBook has taken a few weeks off with me, and yes, I realize I am quite a baby when I'm sick (it only happens once or twice a year so I try and make the most of it)...and this is just an update to you to thank you for remaining patient. You can expect it in the next two or three weeks and for the trouble, I'll be including a little something extra for supporters at all financial levels.
To those of you waiting for phone calls, my voice isn't quite recovered enough for long conversations, but expect an email from me in the next week or so to schedule a time before Thanksgiving to chat.
Thank you again for your support! Love you guys.
Anne
PS - I am still blaming my strep throat for the lack of doing anything with my hair. Somehow I promise you the two are related... :)

Looking forward to seeing the book, but you make sure you take care of yourself first! Glad you are feeling better.

Whooo, girl, so glad you're doing better! I had strep throat for 2-1/2 MONTHS from February to mid-April 2010, and that was absolutely horrible. I thought I'd be sick forever -- so very happy you're up and at 'em and doing fine now!! Just take care of yourself, make sure you take all of your antibiotic, etc., etc., etc. We'll just be happy to get the book when you get it done, no worries!

Anne! So glad to hear from you. I was getting a little worried about you. Looking forward to the ebook and can't wait to hear how your writing/creativity process is going. Praying for you!

Since some of the rewards do require a mailing address Kickstarter defaults Name/Address in the survey automatically. Feel free to type in obviously bogus information (123 Fake St, etc.) in the fields you are not comfortable filing out. All information is only seen by me and will never be used for anything other than your reward. Hope that helps. Anne

The survey says all questions must be answered to submit. It asks me for my address. I shouldn't have to include my address, when my reward is only the ebook.
Also, whilst I understand you asking us how many pieces should be included, it shouldn't be compulsory for us to give an answer. It's entirely up to you, and I can't really give an answer without knowing anything about the pieces. I'd still like to get my ebook, but don't want to have to answer all the questions.
Thanks, Mona

PS - So far the average of all of the responses is 30. This is helping me focus the project greatly and I appreciate all of your responses.
