Super encouraging my freind! That was so what I needed to hear! I didn't do as well as I would have liked on my first exam at school. But I'm doin' my best. I was listening to NPR on my way to school today and heard an interview with a lady who rowed across the Atlantic and much like her I'm just amazed at what you're attempting. Even if she didn't make it people would still be in awe that she tried (she did, and has done a couple other oceans since as well) . And even you don't get to 10000 (and I know you will) you're still mighty impressive for trying. Anyways it made me think of you cause likewise I'm in awe of you and what you are doing ya know following your dreams, sharing your songs with the world its brave is all.... Blah blah, sorry.... :) Thanks for the song...

Hello again,
Here we are at the halfway point with 20 days to go, and I'm over 70% funded!
My heart is full of gratitude as I think about each of you who has so generously pledged, encouraged, and shared this project with others.
Just so you know, if I reach my goal by February 25th, I will be in touch again to get your contact info in order to deliver your packages once they are complete. I'll keep you posted! :)
I'd also like to formally thank local artist Teres Fritch for creating this beautiful painting inspired by my story and this album. If it sells, she's giving the proceeds to this project. How amazing is that?

Posted project update #3Over Half Way!!
Let's see... we're at $5,640! I don't even know what to say. My heart is exploding with gratitude and awe.
As I was preparing to launch this project, I experienced quite a bit of anxiety (you can ask my friend/roommate, Shannon who saw all my craziness). One moment, I'd think it was a wonderful idea and the next, I'd be restlessly pacing back and forth, seriously considering scrapping the whole thing. "What if this is a terrible idea? What if my campaign totally bombs?"
But here we are, over half way there!
I had a really good meeting with Brian Whitman (the guy producing the album) yesterday, and I'm getting sooo excited about the upcoming process of beautifully recording all of my favorite and most meaningful songs!!
Someone recently asked me if I was hoping to get a deal with a record label. Interestingly enough, the thought has never even really crossed my mind. The heart of this campaign isn't to spring board into the music industry. It's to launch these songs into a world that is aching for truth, healing, love, and freedom. I know labels can be great for getting music to the masses... however, I really sense that these songs are going to spread a different way.
