Posted project update #8Bad News, Good News
Post CommentWell it looks like I was a little too ambitious with my time frame, but I am not going to give up. This campaign will remain open until the end because sometimes crazy things happen. Who knows?
Just because this campaign may not be successful does not mean I will not continue trying to get the project completed. Contact me at aewmedia@gmail.com and I will let you know where to find the next fundraising attempt once it is underway, if it becomes necessary.

Posted project update #7A Rough Draft
Post CommentHere is an example of my style of presenting interview material. I will get better as I do it more often, of course, but I'm reasonably pleased with this so far. Enjoy.

Posted project update #6The Appetizer Will Be Coming Soon
Post CommentI was at an Occupy Coos Bay event on Monday and got a few short clips of decent audio. There was a little too much road noise in much of what I recorded, but I have enough to put together a taste of what to expect from the project once I get it rolling. I should have that audio up some time late tonight. I played most of it in my Monday night show, if you want a sample of what the weekly live show will sound like.
Stay tuned, folks. I will try to continue updating every two or three days.

Posted project update #5A Silver Lining
Post CommentAlright, so I went to the location where Occupy Florence gathers, but nobody showed up. I waited for about an hour before I left. No interview to be had, but there is good news. Tomorrow I will be Occupying the Port of Coos Bay with the group down there and might be able to get some good audio during that and then an interview or two afterward. My fingers are metaphorically crossed.

Posted project update #4First Interviews May Be Coming Soon
Post CommentI now have a portable field recorder and will be taking it with me to an Occupy Florence (Oregon) event on Saturday. I will attempt to get an interview with one or more participants afterward. I will post it here after I have edited and commented on it myself, so that you can hear a bit of what I'm planning for this webseries.
Stay tuned. I should have an update with audio in two days.

Posted project update #2Taking Your Questions
Post CommentStarting this week I will be taking questions about my project on my online radio show (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/aewlive). If you wish to ask anything about me or about this project you can call in to my BlogTalkRadio show. I broadcast live on Mondays, Wednesdays and most Fridays from 6:30 PM Pacific time and the call-in number is (760) 454-7016.
I am also awaiting the arrival of a portable field recorder that I will use to conduct my first interviews, so that I can give you a taste of what to expect from the larger project as it unfolds.
