Posted project update #8Thanks...
Post CommentBy now, most (if not all) of you that provided addresses should have received your CD. Those of you residing outside of the US may have to wait a bit longer, but they should also be arriving soon. If you provided an address and have not received your CD by the end of April, by all means, let me know and I'll send you a replacement.
If you'd like to do one last thing, we'd really appreciate you posting your thoughts on either Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Im-Baba-Lon/dp/B007IHKAY4
Or CD Baby http://www.amazon.com/Im-Baba-Lon/dp/B007IHKAY4
Thanks again for making this possible. We're actually working on a second CD - trying to at least get it recorded with our own resources. If everything comes together, we hope to release it sometime this fall. Look for Lon in your town (he'll be in the NYC Metro area from April 20-30 and plays somewhere practically every week [see www.londuquette.com for a complete schedule]) and listen for him on the radio (a number of Folk DJ's have promised to play "I'm Baba Lon" on their shows.)
Finally, here's a link to one of the songs performed at Lon's CD Release Party at The Chance Theater in case you weren't able to make it:
Best regards,
-Alan

Benjamin, As you are probably aware the 320's are much larger and many people still are on (ulp!) dial-up connections. I'll put up the larger files at a later date. (We did use the higher quality [and larger] files for the $15 reward.) I'll drop you a note when the larger files are up there. (I'm on DSL, but it still took me 30-40 mins to upload the CD file. My DSL is not the zippiest.)

Posted project update #3We're getting there!
Post CommentWe've finished recording and mixing 11 of the 12 likely tracks for the new CD. We're doing one more we hope to have recorded and mixed sometime in the next two weeks and then we have mastering and manufacturing - and we're done!
We have a show scheduled here in Southern California for March 9th and we hope to have physical CD's ready in time for that (fingers crossed.) If you'd like to come to the show here is the link to the ticket page:
https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe/9572505
We had a "Pre-Release" CD focus group panel party on Sunday and based on the feedback we got we've decided to call the album "I'm Baba Lon" and use a photo collage my friend Jeremy Wolff made for the CD cover art. (See below.)
Again, as we get closer to actually having something to deliver, we'll be asking for e-mails, addresses and phone numbers as needed to deliver the various rewards.
In the meantime, we appreciate your patience. As it stands right now, we shouldn't have any trouble meeting the September 2012 estimated delivery date, and we hope to be able to beat that by many months.
Thanks again for your support.

Posted project update #2THANKS EVERYONE!
Post CommentI wanted to send all of our backers a BIG THANK YOU. Thanks to your generousity we reached our goal and Lon's dream will soon (well, in a few months, anyway) be a REALITY.
As we get further along with the actual recording (we've already started!) I will be in touch regarding info needed to deliver or download rewards and so on. In the meantime, you can track some of our progress on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/#!/lonmiloduquette
And Reverbnation: http://www.reverbnation.com/lonmiloduquette (There's a couple of videos of some of the new songs up there!)
Again, my gratitude for your interest and support. We're looking forward to getting back in the studio and getting the songs finished so everyone can enjoy them!
-Alan (and Lon)

Completely understand; and good to know that you are going to make the higher quality files available for the unreleased tracks - I opted for the $25 pledge, and will be ripping the CD at 320 for portable devices and want the unreleased tracks to match the quality of the rip. Thank you again!
ok, I'm obviously missing something. If I click on the filedropper link I have a choice of uploading my own files or logging in to my account. There is no link to Lon's songs that I can find. I've been in IT for longer than my daughter's been alive (born in '83) so don't tell me I'm too old dagnabbit! Do I have to create an account to D/L the files?
Karen,
It's not you, it's me. I'll send a new link as soon as I get it fixed. Sorry about the SNAFU.
-Alan.
