Post CommentWe've got only 2 1/2 weeks left! We're at just under $3500. We've been fully funded for weeks now, so everyone who pledged will be receiving their package. Thank you so much for your support! Box Mountain still looms large though and it'd be so amazing if we could reach $5000 by the end. This is really an incredible opportunity to own some great records for next to nothing. Please forward it on to your friends and help us achieve our new goal. You could potentially do all your gift shopping for the holidays by pledging and giving the CD's (and records) as gifts to your friends and family. Everyone loves new music! commented on a projectHiya Elliot, We're trying to make this as simple as possible so nobody gets upset with mis-ships and the like and we're not getting confused with our titles. That said, we could likely alternate some titles on the $50 list with some on the $30 list, especially since you're just trying to avoid doubling up. Does that sound cool? Posted project update #1We hit our initial goal after just 1 week!
Post CommentOK, so maybe we set the bar a little low in order to insure that all of our backers would get a slew of great music. But we still need your help in bringing down Box Mountain. That means that every pledge from here on out is guaranteed to get what they're pledging for! What's really encouraging is that most of our backers have pledged at the higher levels of $50 and $350! That's amazing! It would be great to see those folks who don't have much to spend come out and support us with lower pledges.
The Goblin Cock album Bagged and Boarded is the first full length album by this San Diego band. The group is the brain child of and is also fronted by Rob Crow of Pinback, Heavy Vegetable, Ladies, Thingy, Optiganally Yours and many other amazing bands. This album did really well for us, but we got some awful advice from an old distributor and simply made too many. It rocks! The cover art is fairly explicit and totally hilarious and is painted by fantasy artist Mike Sutfin. For $5, postage paid in the US, this is a true deal! Some folks have been critical of Goblin Cock's sense of humor, but Rob is a true metal-head (and Black Sabbath devotee, including the non-Ozzy years) and I have a hard time believing that metalheads of the truest sort don't have a sense of humor. I think they write about what they love and that's exactly what Rob does. Such a great record and one of our top 10 best sellers in the history of the label! $5!

commented on a projectHi Gregg. A vinyl package is a great idea, but the free shipping and lack of overstock (the original mission of this Kickstarter) is what gets in the way for us. Vinyl is so much more expensive to ship as well as to manufacture, so we do fairly small runs of most records. When offered in the catalog sale, we can absorb those expenses. There were even a few records we didn't offer in that sale because we have no overstock, just enough to fill orders for the next few months.
