Thank you all for your patience in this process! I am doing most of this by myself and so things take more time than they would if I had an entire team. Thank you all for remembering that and sticking this out with me.

FYI - If you missed the kickstarter campaign you can still go here and pledge - http://www.muhsinah.com/pledge/I am currently recording the 2 bonus tracks I promised I would add. Gone Deluxe is shaping up to be a really great album. :) There's something for everybody on it.
The official release date for Gone Deluxe Edition is February 21, 2012!! That means the album and all of your rewards will get shipped that day. And you'll get it soon after that depending on how fast the mail goes.
Excited yet?? I sure am.
Also I'm planning a nice tour for the end of February so if you want me in your city visit muhsinah.com/tour to help spread the word and get me there.

I'm extremely excited to say that thanks to your generosity and enthusiasm we've reached the bonus goal. So not only will we be adding new incentives to a few of the rewards, but we'll be planning to shoot a brand new video with Director Jelani Memory!There's still lots of expenses to cover, but we now have the bare minimum needed to making something really nice. That being said we're going to make the most of the remaining 30 hours by continuing to encourage everyone to pledge, to increase current pledges and to get others involved in the pledging.
So whether you have already contributed or are still deciding on what to pledge toward, here's a few things to consider:
1. There will now be 2 new songs added to Gone [Deluxe Edition], but they will appear exclusively on the Double CD and will not be available on the digital version of the release nor will they be on the 12 inch. So if you MUST HAVE these new songs, make sure you're pledging $25 or more.
2. The video we're planning is going to be very cinematic, so along with all the other goodies, everyone pledging $50 or more will be receiving a digital download of an extended HD version of the video. And just to give you an idea of the quality of the video, here's the first look at full version of the "Stop!" music video we shot with him this fall.
3. And lastly, we're bringing some super classy lapel pins to the Cream Team rewards so that anyone pledge $50 might want to upgrade to add the custom printed t-shirt and lapel pin.

Post CommentLovies!!!! We're almost there, with less than $1000 to go before we reach our Bonus Goal!
If we reach $9000 in the next 3 days we're going to upgrade the CD & Vinyl printing aaaand shoot another... yes "another" video with Jelani Memory (among other things)!
We finally got to work with him this fall and would love the chance to do it again. Check out the video below for a clip of the "Stop!" music video and stayed tuned for the online video premiere!

Posted project update #3Making History and the Bonus Goal!!!
Hey lovies!
Im so thankful and happy to see how much we've raised in just 2 weeks!!! The current amount that we've raised is AMAZING but with 2 whole weeks remaining I'd like to push a little further. So today we're by setting a Bonus Goal of $9,000 which won't effect any of the current rewards, unless we reach it.
Why more money? Well... aside from being able to upgrade to the the highest quality packaging option for the Double CD and Vinyl (insuring that they're true collectors items) I would LOVE to shoot with Director, Jelani Memory again!!!
(See the video below for more details.)Overall this project is going to be as good as we make it. So the more we raise, the more we can improve. And to reward you all for your continued contributions I've added a ton of new incentives to the rewards! So please increase your pledges if you can, continue to encourage your friends and family to get involved, write blogs and whatever else you can do to spread the word. Let's make history together! :)

Super excited to have reached the halfway point, though we still have lots of work ahead. Here's a quick video update featuring the final tracklisting for "Dear _____," which will contain 5 NEW/UNRELEASED SONGS!!!NOTE: As a thank you for your continued support I have also posted a BACKER EXCLUSIVE UPDATE, containing a brand new video recording of me performing Adele's "Someone Like You" :)
