Posted project update #28A Heartfelt Message from AZTECA
Post CommentHello Backers! Just a little message to spread the love to all of you on this day of candy and roses. Most of the update action these days has been happening on our Facebook page and AZTECA2012.com website, however I did not want to anyone to be left out of the loop! Today, February 14th, we launch the newest AZTECA chapter, Issue #2! This is the second segment of the three that will compose the final trade paperback, due out Cinco de Mayo, May 5, of this year! Jhazmine and Andre have been working themselves ragged to make the book great and we're excited to show everyone the newest part.
I will email every backer this afternoon and share with you what to expect in the coming week! For now, watch your in-boxes...and enjoy this heartfelt message from the AZTECA team.
Thanks! And...

Posted project update #27AZTECA: The Motion Comic
Post CommentHello all!
Halloween Night, AZTECA Backers got a sneak peek at the first webisode of AZTECA: The Motion Comic. Yesterday, Dia de Los Muertos, was the official launch of the comic--both the print and online versions, and the rest of our fans got to see the webisode on our website, www.AZTECA2012.com. Fantastic feedback from many people despite the fact that yesterday was also a crazy, crazy election day!
For your viewing pleasure, we're posting the video again here. If you haven't had a chance to look--do!(P.S. Top tier Backers may recognize some of the names in the rolling credits. Also, issues of AZTECA are still available for the special Kickstarter discount!)

Posted project update #26"They're here!"
Post CommentAh, Halloween weekend! Perfect time to send a new update as we're THREE DAYS AWAY from the official AZTECA launch! So much has led to this incredible stretch of days, and I cannot wait to show you guys what we've done so far AND what we STILL have in store!
ALL AZTECA backers will receive a PDF copy of our first issue, AZTECA:Ciudad Paradiso #1, in your email boxes tomorrow, Halloween night! This is an exclusive sneak peek for Kickstarter Backers only, and is the first of three: Issue 1 includes the first four chapters of the graphic novel and will be a part of the final book in May of next year. Backers who contributed at the $25 or higher level will receive the PRINTED full-color issue via snail mail THIS WEEK! All additional bonus items will be winging toward you as they come in, and I will send special messages to all as to when to expect them. (Note: if you didn't have a chance to contribute but would like to have a printed copy--or would just like to order additional printed copies--all Kickstarter backers can order the comic for just $1 each. Click here to order via paypal.)It gets better, folks. The email tomorrow night will also include a link to CHAPTER ONE of AZTECA: The Motion Comic! This is an exclusive first look for Kickstarter Backers only; the link will be posted on our website AZTECA2012.com for everyone else to see on the day of the launch: Tuesday, Nov 2nd--DIA DE LOS MUERTOS. Very special thanks to Rich O'Dell and RelativeMedia for the incredible work on this installment and I cannot wait for all of you to see the final product.
Oh goodness--the excitement is getting to me! *flutter* As ever, I am so very grateful for the support that all of you have shown and I remain forever thankful for your contributions. More to follow... For now, I wish you all a Happy Halloween weekend and I look forward to your comments tomorrow night!

Posted project update #25PRESSing Our Luck
Post CommentHello everyone! Communication may have gone silent for the last few weeks, but I can assure you that work has been going full-speed all this time--and continues. Ask Jhazmine and she'll tell you; she's working like a maniac!
This message is to update all of you that we received word from the printer that our run for Issue #1 is complete. It has been shipped and is now floating stateside on a slow boat from China (literally!) Have a look-- we have posters too.
Issue #1 will arrive just in time for our launch Dia de los Muertos--and perhaps even for our pre-launch event (details TBA) Halloween weekend. All of our wonderful backers who purchased the paperback book to be printed next year will get a free printed copy of Issue #1, and should expect even more goodies to hold you over throughout the year. Those of you who purchased the digital issue (PDF) should watch your inboxes the weekend of the launch.
Anyone interested in additional copies (either digitally or in print) send an email via Kickstarter or on AZTECA's Facebook Page. All Kickstarter backers, of any level, can purchase additional copies for yourself or your friends for $1 each! This deal does not expire, so drop a line anytime and let us know how you like the work and if you want more. Words cannot express how grateful Jhaz, Andre and I continue to be for your support--this could not have happened without your backing AZTECA.
THANK YOU!!!
