Are there any toy shops in your area? Almost every one I've been to has a decent toy piano, the same brand that the Old Town School of Folk Music carries here in Chicago. I can't remember the name, though...

Joseph is a musician, songwriter and filmmaker from Minneapolis. When he's not having an existential crisis, he spends his time performing with Bella Ruse, watching documentaries and convincing his girlfriend, Kay, that ramen noodles have nutritional value.

Sorry I didn't get to this earlier, but I love this album. For the first week after I downloaded it, it's all I listened to in my car. Perhaps the thing that surprised me most was that I didn't think it would be as fun a listen as it was to see you guys live. But the way you used the added instruments and production elements, it was very easy to say the clever, original, Bella Ruse touch was just as much tangible in listening to the CD as it was seeing you perform in person. I can't just name one track that stands out from the rest for me. I love the pluck of Complicated Rhythm and Gumption & Guts, but also can't get enough of the sweeter, more morose sounds of Black & Flowers and Where We Started. Great work, Joseph & Kay. What a tremendous success for you two!
