Posted project update #5foneFrame in the real world, 3 use cases
Post CommentPeople often ask me, "Yeah Jerry, but what can you *do* with foneFrame?" Here are three different things all made with foneFrame you'll want to look at with your smartphone:- http://m.skydottir.com Seattle-based Skydottir Epic Cookies had a Google Map generated by a Google Spreadsheet (a cool trick in & of itself). Embed that Google Map in a mobile page and now you can find healthy cookies wherever you are in Seattle
- http://db.tt/IjEVFwXX This is an Android app made by converting a web app written in foneFrame into a web app using PhoneGap. Fortune Cookie isn't signed & in the Google Market but you can install it through Dropbox (a handy trick)
- http://m.JetCityOrange.com Making a mobile site with foneFrame is no big deal. Creating a mobile page with foneFrame.com/write and linking to it as a blog within the mobile site, that's true recursion. It's a foneFrame page within a foneFrame site.Flexible, extensible, a work in progess that can do real stuff? Yes, foneFrame is all of that and more! -

Posted project update #4foneFrame + Dropbox = free mobile web hosting
Post CommentWe just wired Dropbox uploading into the foneFrame page generator. What's this mean? You can make mobile pages on our site and upload them to your Dropbox Public folder. Everything in your Public folder, including your new mobile page, has its own URL.
Watch how it all works:
And there's more stuff coming...

Posted project update #2A look under the hood...
Post CommentNow it's time to talk a little bit about what foneFrame is, how it works, and where it's going.
It gets a little geeky but bear with me, it's a good story. Learn what makes foneFrame (and me) tick.
