Exhibit A
Posted project update #13What a great year, Thank You!
Post CommentThe year is drawing to a close and I'd like to take a moment to reflect on what Exhibit A's backers helped make possible in 2010.
Thanks to you, Exhibit A raised $4,545.00 through a Kickstarter project.
More than twice that amount has been paid out to visual artists since then!Nineteen artists were featured in six exhibitions; they included regional artists as well as artists from places like California, England and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Exhibit A also helped WSKG raise money by hosing "Art in Motion" in May.Numerous people attended openings and exhibitions;
For example, over 300 attended the opening of glass exhibition held in conjunction with Corning's inaugural GlassFest. and our most recent reception had 132 guests.
The guestbook is filled with with the names of people from places as far away as Alaska, Israel and China. I like to believe that Exhibit A has been able to contribute to visitors' enjoyment Corning, NY.Four pieces were purchased by the Corning Museum of Glass, many other artworks are now on display in people's homes and businesses and in the fall Exhibit A displayed a public sculpture on the facade of the building.
And it's only getting better!
Exhibit A has an exciting exhibition calendar in place for 2011 and I'm looking forward to building on the successes of the past year, the successes you helped bring about.Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!
Thank You,
Ann Welles,
Director, Exhibit A -
