    NYC Premiere September 22nd

Come check out the NYC premiere next week in NYC at the Rising Tide... Surf Causes Event, a kick-off to the New York Surf Film Festival. It will be held at the same location as New York's largest rooftop farm. More details can be found on the event blog http://risingtide.posterous.com/ and Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/arisingtide

While the WAVES Rooftop Pool Party & Fundraiser was rained off the roof, we had a great turn-out and inaugurated the downstairs sub-level. Thanks to all who came out!

The DVD cover artwork is now complete and looking good. We hoped to have the DVD totally finished by now, so thanks for your patience as we wrap it all up. Know that the backer prizes are still in the works and coming soon.

Again, don't forget to check the production blog for a screening near you: http://capturedoc.posterous.com/

If you'd like to organize a screening, please let us know at: capturedoc@wavesfordevelopment.org

Exclusive Director's Screening Opportunity NYC - CAPTURE: A WAVES Documentary

After many long hours and the unwavering commitment from the team, the time has come. The moment we've all been waiting for... a chance to see the film.

In conjunction with WAVES' summertime Pool Party event (this year on the rooftop of a brand new building in NYC), VIP guests will be treated to a screening of the 22 minute short on AUGUST 12TH. Tickets and details on this exclusive screening are available here:

    http://www.stayclassy.org/new-york-city/events/rooftop-pool-party-fundraiser/e2429

If you're not in NY, or would like to wait for your own personal copy of the DVD for being a backer, don't worry. It won't be long. We're aiming to have the DVDs sent out by late August. That is when the other backer prizes will be sent out as well.

Thanks again for your support and patience.

We're excited CAPTURE has been submitted to the NY Surf Film Festival. We intend to enter it various other festivals, nationally and internationally. Keep an eye out for other exciting news in the coming months!

PS If you haven't already, check out the latest clips from the film posted on the production blog:

    Almost done!

Sneak Peak: Rough Cut from Capture Doc on Vimeo.

Check out the Rough Cut Sneak Peak!

We haven't forgotten about all of you wonderful backers. The rewards will go out when the film is completed (mid-July) as many of you will be getting a DVD of the film. The Rough Cut has been submitted to a number of festivals so we're hoping for some more good news soon...

Speaking of good news. Henry, a local from Lobitos who took a great interest in the photography program, with whom Jeremy was working closely, was contracted to shoot a wedding in Lobitos. Included is one of his pictures from Mari and Tito's special day.

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions and check the production blog for the latest: http://capturedoc.posterous.com/title-sneak-peak-rough-cut
