I assume part of people's clamor for BT 4.0 is because of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), but I have a question how this will be implemented. It sounds like the Pebble will be the so-called "Smart ready" device that can talk to both other BT 4.0 and legacy BT hosts (phones) as well as "Smart" low energy (BLE) devices (like heart monitors). But does that mean it can, itself, act as a low energy device and communicate with a BT 4.0 "Smart ready" phone over the BLE protocol? I assume that's where battery savings would come and what people would want BT 4.0 for. I would think that talking to heart monitors and stuff wouldn't be an important feature for the watch because I would expect my phone to do that and relay the information to the watch for display.

When you were picking in the video, aside from the last disc, were you feeling it or just looking at the cut-away? If you didn't have the cut-away, would you really be able to feel the discs setting if the sidebar was still held up by other discs? If you could feel a slight difference (maybe because the sidebar didn't drop down but it stopped rubbing?) would you be able to tell the false gate apart from the true gate? Could you still pick the discs in order like you did in the video or would the order depend on inconsistencies in tolerance like in a pin-tumbler?
