Thank you again for supporting the recording of my opera, Song from the Uproar, via Kickstarter. On behalf of everyone involved in the project, I want to express my gratitude to YOU for making this recording possible. We just finished a hectic, sleepless, WONDERFUL week in New York's Avatar Studios, and this recording is going to be fantastic! We even got to use the same mixing board Madonna used for "Like a Virgin"! (I nearly fainted when I heard that.) I feel so lucky to work with all these fantastic performers, singers, engineers and producers, and so lucky to have your support. For those of you who will receive CDs and scores in the mail, we'll send a separate email asking for shipping information.

A few days ago we returned from our European tour, and, thanks to you, it was a total success! Because of your generosity we were able to successfully transport all of our equipment from city to city without having to hitchhike, beg, borrow or steal. The concerts were each fantastic, and we were able to reach over a thousand new audience members who had never heard us live before. We performed in a converted coal mine in Essen (it's true!), in a beautiful concert hall in Berlin, in a smoky club in Paris, in a drafty squat in Amsterdam, and in a lovely underground stage in Leuven, Belgium (home of Stella Artois!).
We are so grateful to YOU for making this financially feasible for us in these tricky times. I have posted a few select pictures from the tour to our Kickstarter page (including some great shots of Eleonore's impossibly huge bass case). Please stay in touch, and watch your mail if you have requested CDs as a reward for your donation.

On behalf of all the members of Victoire, we'd like to thank you for supporting our recent fundraising drive through Kickstarter. We not only met, but EXCEEDED our fundraising goal, and we are very grateful to all of you for making this happen. I'm not exaggerating when I write that we would not be able to do these performances in Europe without this support.
We were thrilled to have been offered these performances a few months ago, but our joy was quickly muted when we realized that the cost of toting a double bass (sorry Eleonore!), two keyboards and five people through four European countries was much higher than our performance fees. Thanks to all of YOU we solved this problem and will be able to perform our music for the first time in front of a large European audience. This is an incredible opportunity for us and again, we are touched by your generous support of our dreams. For those of you who selected rewards for your gift, you should receive them no later than mid-December, just in time for the holidays. :)
