...it doesn't look like it will successfully reach full funding. HOWEVER, I plan to launch another 365 shots creative commons photo project with a lower goal of $300 soon, so if you're still interested, please consider contributing to that project.

Posted project update #5Nikon D70 up for grabs
Hey backers and anyone tripping across this. The project only has 15 days until it reaches completion, and we're only about 12% of the way there, so to try to drum up some more interest I've decided to randomly give away my fully functional Nikon D70 with kit lens and spare battery to a backer (any backer no matter how much was donated) should this project reach completion. Tell all your friends and let's fully fund this sucker! ;-)

... but it's not from Amazon themselves and it's $699, so a bit above the original price of this project.
For those of you who have funded, thanks for your support. Please spread the word and by all means let me know what you'd like a picture of / what you'd like your picture(s) dedicated to once (if) the project fully launches.

Right after I launched this project, I had a brainstorm. Any money that is donated to this project beyond the initial $649 (plus shipping plus any additional bits I may end up needing for the camera, like an extra battery and SD card), I will donate to Creative Commons!

Posted project update #1I'm wondering if I posted this too high?
Would it have been better to just post it at $1000, the necessary amount to get one copy cast, and simply offer drawings to patrons?
I listed at $2000 so I could generate enough to cast another copy to give away to one of the contributors, but now I'm thinking that may have been a mistake. I'd love feedback on this. If people think I should relist at just $1000, I'll do so.
