Posted project update #7The Day After
Post CommentFreestyle Jam Camp was a success! I thank you again for your contributions and words of encouragement.
News flash: I promised that I will organize another Freestyle Jam in 2011 so stay tuned. Maybe you can attend and make it that much more special. Remember- Freestyle Jam Camp is open to kids from ages 7 on up - that means you : )
Did you notice that there were last minute pledges raising the amount well over $ 1,000!?
These pledges came from checks via mail, donations at Freestyle Jam Camp, and through PayPal.
You won't see their names as backers on Kick Starter so here they are: Carsten, Beth, Marie, Rick, Alfred, Eileen, Ron, Erin, and Brad. That comes to 27 backers believing in this project. How cool is that?
I will be reporting this information to the Freestyle Players' Association as they will be matching up to $1,000. If you haven't already checked them out, here's the link to their home page: http://freestyledisc.org
Sometime soon I will write a Freestyle Jam Camp report and copy you on it.
Have a wonderful 2011 and I wish for you that other people believe in your ideas like you believed in mine.
Sincerely -
Tita

Posted project update #5Merry Christmas!
Post CommentWith one week left before Freestyle Jam Camp things are starting to look a lot like Christmas!
A renowned disc collector is donating a Space Saucer plus other discs from his collection to auction/donate/sell. How about that?
The t-shirts are ready to be picked up on Monday, offers of help are coming in, a box from Herodiscs arrived with more disc related donations, name tags are being printed out, my living room is piling up with the discs that will be given out to the kids, and the instructors are fired up and ready!
Did I mention that the instructors are coming from as far away as Florida, Oregon, Sacramento, San Diego, and Michigan?
And , did I mention that there are 23 instructors total? And 50+ "campers"?
Yes- it's turning out to look a lot like Christmas!
