The program called "Less is More" includes a wide range of topics, from an American feminist who finds herself enjoying being "objectified" in Turkey to a group of Pakastani-Americans that battles kites every Sunday in Dyker Park, Brooklyn.

Posted project update #6Pigeon Party & Rewards
Post CommentThanks to everyone who came out last night to celebrate the successful ending of The Pigeon Game's Kickstarter campaign! I had such a good time. We drank all of the Masten Lake cocktails in the house, danced a little, hugged, kissed, gushed... left with new t-shirts. We finished the night with "pigeon poop" shots -tequila with a bit of Baileys. Surprisingly delicious, thanks for idea Christian!
A huge thank you to Jane, Brad, Forrest and everyone at Tandem- the best bar in NYC!
And thanks again to all of you backers far and wide for all of your help! It's now time to get your rewards so please send me your address if you are receiving something physical and if you ordered a t-shirt, the color and size you want.
I still can hardly believe this all came together, I'm just in awe of all the generosity and good will. My head is still reeling but we've already got to get to back to work -creating the 20 minute cut of The Pigeon Game for the Tenement Museum screening on Tuesday August 24th. You made it possible -thank you again and again!

Posted project update #5SUCCESS! THANK YOU! OH MY GOD!
THANKS TO YOU -with one whole day to spare, The Pigeon Game has reached it's financial goal of $10,000! Incredible news, thanks so very much to all of you!
The campaign will remain open the rest of Saturday, July 31st so if you missed the chance and still want to donate, you still can.
Then on Sunday, August 1st, we are going to celebrate the successful close of the campaign starting at 7pm at Tandem bar in Bushwick:
236 TROUTMAN STREET,
Brooklyn, NY, 11237Thanks to a generous offer from Tandem, there will be drink specials with proceeds going in part to The Pigeon Game. So the giving can continue in a less formal, more personal way.
I wish so much I could celebrate with all of you! There has been so much support from far and wide! A special shout out to a couple donors whose pledges were grouped together and did not receive individual mention on the Kickstarter site: Joseph Musto, Eric Gioiosa and the Perth Amboy Racing Pigeon Club. Thank you guys!
Hope to see you Sunday!
With heartfelt thanks,
Annie Heringer-

Posted project update #41 MORE DAY
Post CommentI don't really know how to thank you all for the amazing support that you've given this project. About a week ago I felt like this:

Today, I feel like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
We're at 90% of our goal -so close! But we've only got 1 more day to raise the rest. So here's one last plea to spread the word, recommend the project to a friend in these last critical hours!
Again, a huge thank you to all of you who have donated -friends, family, coworkers, strangers... this has been an amazing experience of generosity -of community. Of humanity! Before I get weepy, let's seal the deal. Please help me with this final push to reach the finish line -$10,000 by July 31st!
Yours truly,
Annie Heringer

Congratulations on reaching this milestone! Sounds like a great evening, and hopefully will lead to further support for finishing the larger documentary.
