    We reached our goal!

With two days left in our project, we have reached our goal thanks to all of your support! We have some incredibly generous friends, fans and family who have made sure we see this project through and we are humbled and thankful at all of the encouragement we have received. The process isn't over yet, so any of the options are still available for those of you still checking it out. Every bit helps!

Our CD's have arrived as well, so those will be shipping out soon after the funding process is over. You'll be getting them at the same time as the press and over a month before it is officially released. We've been working with a few other artists on some very cool projects that will be coming your way soon as well. All of this patience has brought about some exciting collaborations and new ideas, which is how this is supposed to work...

A few notes on the upcoming release:

We'll be having a special (very) limited preview show on September 3rd in The Luminary's Installation Space. We will play the EP straight through for a video. The installation space will only hold about 30 people, so follow us on Facebook or our website (http://usenglishmusic.com) for details in the next couple of weeks.

What Frontier will be officially released in mid-October and we will be holding a collaborative release show on October 15th. Those of you who chose the 'CD Release' option will be getting tickets to this one along with a copy of the CD. The dates were off on the project, but we couldn't change them once it started!

Once again, thank you to everyone who backed the project, told a friend or passed along the link to others. Now you are our collaborators in this. Exciting, right?

Album Art + Release Date + 60% Support!

Thank you all so much for your support of our 3 EP Project. We've been quiet for a while finishing the album, designing the packaging and planning the release. We are actually finished with the What Frontier EP--we got our final mastered tracks back today and worked with an artist in Minneapolis named Jesse Draxler to create the packaging (see the attached photo). We have some nice surprises coming too, but those will have to wait...

For those who haven't been following along recently, we are now 60% funded and well on our way to a successful project. All of you have been incredibly generous--no one has even pledged less than $25 yet. Crazy!

We have planned our Release Party for Friday, September 3rd at The Luminary and will be doing all of our presales through Kickstarter, so if you know anyone who plans to come, have them 'buy' their tickets here. Every ticket will include a copy of the EP as well, so there are no good reasons why they wouldn't want to come, right.

Last thing--we just posted the first single from the What Frontier EP today on Myspace (www.myspace.com/usenglishmusic). It is called News! and was written in response to the economic fallout over the past several years. The idea started when a friend of mine taught me a way to 'cheat' at Blackjack by always doubling your bet. If you lose, then you double your bet until you win, so when you do win, your profit still outweighs your losses. The plan works until you go bankrupt before winning. Seemed like an apt metaphor to me and a nice intro to the album.
