addressing you as one, then we'll break into groups (a meta update)

    hi guys!

couple things if you ever decide to do this yourself (or, ahem, reasons for the pace of the project disguised as things)

    1) never underestimate time it takes to complete a project of this sort if you have a family of 5 to hold down and a full time job
    2) realize that you'll want to sit on stuff for a while anyway (i kinda did, but i stewed quite a while before trying to get a cleaner edit, still am in fact, as far as the book is concerned)
    3) use the right tools for the job.

on that last point, i discovered Adobe Lightroom a month ago. i don't work for Adobe;-) but i will HEARTILY RECOMMEND THIS SOFTWARE FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS. even before a photoshop purchase. it has enhanced my photo editing and sharing workflow more than anything i've used in years. it was obviously created from a braindump from a photographer.

annnyway--what does this mean? i have a set of photographs to share! i'll be sending a link to qualified backers shortly to a set of 600 pics and some video clips from the trip.

prints are going to be going to press!

    i've created the following set:

you're free to order more prints at your leisure, but i'll be sending out a survey to qualifying backers asking you to choose your item(s) you'd like to have printed! this is a little different than originally, where i was choosing a print. i figured i should give you guys a selection from some that i know look particularly great in print. i'll be shipping this month likely through next month, depending on the variety of work selected.

photo #1: i can't remember what was going on here, but i *think* that was a slap of affection, as in he was telling the kid to "look sharp!" i'm gonna have to ask someone...

photo #2: another indian doppelganger...this time we have orlando bloom!
