Post CommentWe've tallied the votes, and you've made your decision where we'll be filming this harvest season. I used a weighted system...folks pledging at the $1-$9 range received one point, and every incentive level above that increased in value to 6 points for $100 and above.
And the winner is...
Colorado's Grand Mesa.
This location is geological poetry. It's the world's largest mesa, topped by ancient volcanic basalt flows, 300 lakes and reservoirs, and home to a thriving new wine growing region. The mesa stretches from 5,000 feet in the east to over 11,000 feet on its western edge, and it's the location of some of the highest commercial vineyards on the planet, as well as some stubborn growers pushing the limits of vitis vinifera.
We're going to be able to explore this region for this year's harvest thanks to you. Your support will cover the travel cost to bring our crew of four to Colorado. We'll be sharing the details and results of the trip with you.
Thanks again for your support, and we're excited to have play a role in making our film.

We wish you all a wonderful Fourth and holiday weekend filled with family, friends, food and, of course, great wine! Because of your help, we're going to make our Kickstarter goal when the campaign closes on Monday night. We can't thank you enough for your support. As soon as the campaign ends, we will start sharing exclusive footage, and we'll send around a survey to gather info for sending out incentives and to collect your vote on where we travel this fall. We're still in production with Vino Veritas, and since last fall, we've interviewed winemakers in Missouri, Sonoma, Orange County and Oregon. We've now been in a half dozen wine regions in four different states.And we've launched a new campaign. You can visit it here:

Our first funding effort wasn't successful, but this time around we've changed things up. We're not trying to raise a large amount, but rather just enough to film one segment of the documentary.
So if you're still interested in pledging and participating, please check out the new campaign site. You get to vote to tell us where we'll go next. We've still got great incentives.
