    Pay to Park becomes Redlegs

    Dear Backers,

I hope this finds you very well and in good spirits. When last I wrote to all of you, it was on the eve of our production several months ago. My apologies for the lapse in updates, but when you're co-producing and directing a feature film, things can become rather hectic. I'm happy to report that the film formerly known as Pay to Park was shot between August 23rd and September 16th and is well on its way towards completion. The film, now known as Redlegs, will be submitted to a number of international and regional film festivals this winter and I plan to get it out into the world as quickly as I can. Please have a look at our trailer, which is attached to this message. Our production still owes many of you gifts, which will be on their way just as soon as we complete the film and figure out where it will world premiere.

In the meantime, I once again must ask for your financial support. Our project needs to raise more capital to be finished properly. In order to get the film ready to play at elite film festivals, we must have it professionally sound mixed, color corrected, and mastered to a proper screening format. Then, we must have enough money to submit it to the festivals we'd like to play. Meanwhile, several of our equipment vendors and crew members, who unanimously provided gear or worked for little or nothing, must still be paid the significantly reduced rates they are owed.

I ask that you strongly consider contributing to the completion of our film. To do so and to gain more information on the project, please visit the Redlegs Kickstarter Campaign and Redlegs Facebook Page.

    Sincerely,

    Brandon Harris

WE START SHOOTING TOMORROW. THANKS TO YOU OF COURSE.

    Dear Backers,

On the eve of the beginning of principal photography (we start shooting in Alexandria, Kentucky tomorrow) I just want to take a moment and once again thank everyone who has contributed to our project. One can't know what forms of magic and difficulty my crew and I will encounter over the next three weeks, but I'm just incredibly grateful for the opportunity to take this journey with them; it would have been utterly impossible to put together without the generous support of each and every one of you.

    All the best,

    Brandon

Hey people. This has been the best Bastille Day ever. Many, many thanks.

    Dear Backers,

It took an act of late inning heroics, but you, yes, YOU have made our campaign a success!

On behalf of the entire Pay to Park team (which seems to be growing by the day), I want to extend the most sincere appreciation for your reassuring phone calls, emails, texts, status updates, high fives and, of course, your hard earned dollars. We promise to spend them wisely. Over the last 31 days, everyone involved with making our film has been touched by your acts of generosity. Our Kickstarter campaign began with little more than a long list of good friends and old acquaintances with whom we thought to share our desire to spend this summer making something worthwhile. Little did we know it would engender so many long overdue correspondences, thoughtful pieces of advice and words of heartful encouragement. So thanks again for giving our endeavors a much needed Kickstart - we'll be in touch with more news concerning the film (and your forthcoming culinary rewards) as the summer hums along.

The very best to all of you.

    Brandon
