commented on a project"Coriander Blues" is a working title, but I hope we keep it. I write lyrics, usually, based from word "sounds" first, if that makes sense. I was trying to come up with a word that would describe "blues," and "coriander" popped into my head. Which is strange...I didn't even really know what coriander was. So it was odd that I just thought of it all of a sudden. I did some internet-ing and I guess it can, to some, represent love, fidelity, and sometimes lust. Which I thought may be appropriate for the blues. Plus, I like the way it sounds. :) The song is meant to be based loosely on the feeling you get sometimes, as a musician, of playing your heart and with no one listening.

I've seen that pose before... but usually I'll drop a dog or cat or something on the bed to pull him out of it... I guess in this case it's a good thing to leave him in his cave.

Post CommentFrom now until May 1st, any previous or future donors (at any level), will get a link to download a demo of a song set to be on Ferris Wheel. This is meant to be an immediate thing...so if you have donated, or donate from now to the end of the project, you WILL get a demo! I just sent the first batch out! The first is "Black Nag," a song about coal mining.
