Dear Christian -- Sorry you didn't get your book yet! I checked and figured out what happened; I sent out the books to everyone whose addresses I had in March, but I didn't get your address info until March 31, and I missed the Kickstarter notification that you had filled out the survey. I'm sending your book today, thanks for your patience! -- Jason

The Doom That Came to Sarnath!

    Dear Kickstarter backers,

The final stage of the Kickstarter rewards has finally begun! Thanks to the "Nyarlathotep" level backer, I'm doing a 20-page adaptation of HP Lovecraft's "The Doom That Came to Sarnath," starting today on the Mock Man website!

    http://www.mockman.com/2012/05/01/the-doom-that-came-to-sarnath-page-1/

Please check it out and follow it as it continues every week! I'm thrilled to be drawing this story, which is one of my favorites. And don't think that this will be the last Lovecraftian comic I'm doing, either... but that's news for later. ;)

This will be the last Kickstarter update for the foreseeable future. I hope you're enjoying "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" and I hope you like "Sarnath." I've still got some "Dream-Quest" copies in stock at store.mockman.com, and every bit of review or coverage helps, so if you have time, please consider writing a review of "Dream-Quest" on goodreads (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13558064-the-dream-quest-of-unknown-kadath-other-stories), your blog, or another social website.

It's all thanks to your support and encouragement that I've been able to return to drawing Lovecraft comics. My deepest thanks go out to all of you, and I hope to continue drawing comics that you like for many, many years to come.

    Sincerely,

    Jason

    Dream-Quest Graphic Novels ARE HERE!!

After several delays (apparently the shipping company couldn't find my house, believe it or not) the Dream-Quest graphic novels have finally arrived! During a brief break in the Seattle rain, a truck dropped off a pallet loaded with 700 kilos of books!

If you've never exercised by carrying 1,500 pounds of SAN-blasting tomes up the stairs into your house, you don't know what you're missing. The books are now sitting in my living room in 44 ginormous boxes, but not for long; right after I send this I'm going to start signing them and sending them out in preaddressed envelopes. I've attached some pictures of the mayhem. Luckily, it didn't start raining while the books were sitting in my driveway.

Thank you so much for your patience and support, the books are on their way to all of you! Next stop: the post office!

    Books Update & Lovecraftian Sketches

It's a gray and foreboding morning here in Seattle as I await the arrival of the Dream-Quest graphic novels from the printer. I just got a phone call from the delivery company and the books should arrive today or tomorrow; apparently they had tried to deliver yesterday but couldn't find my house and didn't call my phone number. :/ I'll post as soon as they arrive, and I'll start sending them out to everyone immediately!

In other news, over at http://mockman.com/ I've started posting a new series of Lovecraftian sketches (updated Monday-Wednesday-Friday). Some of these are sketches done for Kickstarter supporters (thank you so much!), others are original. This particular one was drawn for one of the supporters and shows a Lovecraftian version of Gatsby, his pet rabbit. Please check out mockman.com for more pictures of Cthulhuvian monsters, and soon, my adaptation of The Doom That Came to Sarnath.
