Post CommentThe Gremolata & Cancellaresca Milanese patterns arrived yesterday at the Dale Guild. Now it's just a question of 3 or 4 months of backbreakingly precise work & we'll be good to go!

Posted project update #9The Finish Line (sort of)
Thanks for making our Kickstarter campaign such a resounding success. With our final total coming in at over $47,000, Gremolata & Cancellaresca Milanese is the "most funded" graphic design project to date on Kickstarter(!). The fact that that honor goes to the making of a new metal foundry type as opposed to some app for a phone is enormously encouraging. I couldn't be happier with how it has turned out.
On Monday Annie and I set out on the first leg of our midwestern craft pilgrimage (I will be posting about our progress on my blog www.russellmaret.blogpsot.com) & when we return on the 24th I'll begin sending out the backer surveys for the $50 and $60 pledges. By that time, Micah will have received the patterns from which he will engrave the matrices & we will post pictures as we progress. Though the funding is secured, there is an enormous amount of work yet to do.
In the meantime, if you are in New York this weekend & would like to see a copy of Specimens of Diverse Characters—the book that began my collaboration with Micah—there is a copy of the deluxe edition on display at the Lux Mentis booth at the 52nd Annual New York Antiquarian Book Fair.
Cheers,
Russell

Hi Russell -
You'll probably want to correct the link in the update: the p and s reversed in blogspot. It goes to a very different site than yours!

Just curious, but if I'm having second thoughts about *not* getting the shirt, is there a way to change that anymore-?
Hi Robert,
Yes, you can still get a t-shirt. if you send me your email address I can send you a paypal invoice for one.
Best,
Russell
